Part 1: The Flame of Evil
Episode 1: Luigi's Downfall
It was another bright and sunny day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach had, yet again, been saved thanks to the heroics of Mario. In a classic act of vengeance, Bowser tried to kidnap Daisy instead, resulting in Mario going on yet another journey to defeat him. Peach felt upset that she couldn't thank him in person for saving her, but she knew he would be back soon, and she could reward him with a warm embracing hug within her bosom. She let out a sigh, as she finished daydreaming about Mario, and went to the royal court to discuss the state of the kingdom.
As she entered the court, she sees all her loyal advisors sitting around a stone circular table, decorated with a glass super star in the center. Her advisors consist of Toad, Toadette, a few other toads, Sonic the Hedgehog, some more toads, Daisy, and Mario. Since Daisy was currently being captured by Bowser, she was absent. And since Mario was out saving her, he was also absent, in his place was Luigi. He sighs as he places a hand on his chin, and an elbow on the table. He's always forced to work here in Mario's place, since he's always out doing adventures. Even though Mario has not attended a single meeting, and he's always been in his place, they still treat him as a replacement for Mario instead of a normal member of the council, they haven't even bothered to replace the big red "M" on his chair with an "L", we wouldn't have even minded if it was a big red "L". Usually, he would at least have Daisy to look forward to, but since she was captured, and being saved my Mario, he had nothing to keep him preoccupied. He sighs heavily.
Peach happily sits down in her seat and clears her throat as she shuffles through her notes.
"Good morning everyone! Or uh…. I guess I should say afternoon! I wasn't expecting to be captured this morning! And I definitely wasn't expecting to be saved so quickly!" She giggles loudly. Luigi rolls his eyes. "Anyway! Let's begin for today! So, first off, we must discuss the shortage of green mushrooms over the last few we-"
"PRINCESS PEACH!" Shouts Toad.
Peach steps back a bit, startled by Toad's sudden screams. "Um…yes?"
"WHERE'S PRINCESS DAISY!? SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!"
Peach stares at him for a bit, forgetting just how forgetful Toad can be. "Oh uh… right. She was captured by Bowser shortly after I got rescued by Mario. Now he's out to save her." She sighs and smiles. "He's so perfect, isn't he? Mario is the true hero of this kingdom! He's so wonderf-"
Luigi suddenly slams his fist on the table, cracking the glass slightly. "Will you just shut up!" Everyone at the table gasps. And Peach stares at him in astonishment.
"L-luigi? What is wrong with you? That was totally uncall-"
"Why the hell did you send him!?" he interrupts her. "Daisy is my girl! I lover her! I'd do anything for her, but I can't since you always send out f-f-FUCKING Mario to do it! And why am I even here!? You guys just have me here since you think I'm fucking worthless huh!? That's what I bet it is! You just don't want me to go out on any real adventures since you think I'm just a scared little screw-up! News flash: I've done just as much shit as Mario! I've saved the Mushroom kingdom a bunch of times before! Why can't any of you fucks just appreciate me for ONCE!? Instead it's all just Mario Mario Mario Mario Mario Mario MARIO MARIO MARIO MARIO MARIO MARIO! GO SUCK A DICK YOU FUCKS!"
Luigi's screams ring throughout the council room. All the toads' mouths are open, nearly hitting the table, Sonic ran out of the room while Luigi was screaming, fearing what Peach will do to him. Peach stares at Luigi, her mouth open as well, having no idea what to say. Luigi looks around the room, and blushes deeply. Without saying anything else, and before waiting for any of them to respond, he turns around and heads out the door, leaving them all in silence. He walks far away from the castle and stands in an open field and looks down at the flowers. He bends over and picks one up, he puts it up to his nose and smells it while a tear falls form his eye.
"Oh Luigi, why would you act like that? You're such an idiot. They're all going to hate you now. You're so… fucking stupid! I hate myself so much! God fucking dammit!" He says to himself as he starts to bawl.
After a few minutes of crying, he wipes away his tears, and looks up at the beautiful blue sky. He lifts the flower and compares it the clouds he sees above them. He smiles as he acknowledges the beauty from both the sky, and the Earth. For a second, he forgets all about Mario, Peach, and Daisy. He forgets all about the stress of his life, the feelings of being only the "little brother", the feeling of always being left out, it all just vanishes from his mind. For a second, all he could think about was the beauty in the world. He closes his eyes in bliss.
When he opens his eyes again, the first thing his eyes lay upon in the sky is a ball of darkness, hurling right at him. He tries to get up to move away, but the ball was accelerating faster than anything he has ever seen. The ball suddenly transforms into a spear, and charges even faster at Luigi. He tries to escape from it, running as fast as he can, screaming in hopes that anyone will come to his aide. He was thinking he could jump to the side and avoid it, or maybe we could roll so it would fly over him, or maybe he could turn around and shoot it with a green fireball, or maybe he could-
The spear pierces his chest violently.
He falls to the ground in agony, screaming. He ends up passing out for a few minutes from shock. As the minutes go by, he slowly starts to regain consciousness. He looks around and touches his chest where the spear had pierced him. He's astounded to find no hole. He sighs in relief, believing that what just happened must have been a dream. He gets up and rubs the dirt off his pants, with a new-found appreciation for life, and himself. He starts to head back to the castle, ready to apologize to everyone there, especially Princess Peach. A happy smile spreads across his face.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" says a deep an ominous voice from behind him. He turns around to see a man standing behind him. He stood there intensely, eyeing down Luigi. His clothing was eccentrically dark. Most of his outfit was black, except for his overalls, which were gray with red buttons, and his gloves which were white. Around his eyes, there was nothing but darkness, it appeared as though he was wearing some sort of mask, but it was somehow attached perfectly to his skin, as though it were part of his flesh. Most of this was very bizarre to Luigi, he had no idea who this edgy strange man could be, until he looked at his hat. His hat sat upon his head, black as everything else, but with one notable difference: A large red circle in the middle, with a backwards "L" in the center. Once Luigi noticed the "L", he screams and falls over.
"W-W-Waluigi? Is that you?"
The man sighed. "No, you idiot! I am total darkness, the incarnation of evil! Thanks to you failing to avoid my descent towards Earth, I have taken your form, and corrupted it! Now, with this new body, I shall finally conquer this planet, as I should have long ago!"
Luigi shakes violently, then swallows his spit and stands up. "I-I-I don't t-t-think so b-bucko! I'm going t-to stop you! R-right now! Y-you heathen!" He lifts his shaking hands, ready to fight.
The Dark Luigi lets out a loud laugh. "You? I've seen everything you had to offer when I pierced through your body. All your memories are mine. Everything about you I already know. I've learned everything about his kingdom from your mind, and I cannot wait to conquer it." He laughs louder. "You are nothing. I will be generous and allow you to leave for now and warn the rest of what is to come. But if you stay here and try to fight, I will show no mercy and you will die. I am much more powerful than that overgrown lizard you battle. Heed my warning plumber, for it is the only case of mercy you will receive from me."
Luigi swallows his spit even louder this time. His legs are shaking intensely. He looks behind him at the castle, he thinks about running back there, to warn Peach. Maybe she can contact Mario and he can defeat… No, this was Luigi's chance to finally prove himself. If he could take him down, he would finally be recognized, people will finally respect him. And he would finally have enough self-confidence to ask for Daisy's hand in marriage. He couldn't just let this moment slip. He braces himself, and calmed his nervous, then gave the monster a stern glare.
"I will not back down from you, beast. You are an unnatural creation, you intend on harming the innocents of this world, and I cannot have that. You will never step foot outside of this field! I shall destroy you and vanquish your evil! Prepare to meet your maker!" Luigi charges up a green missile attack and charges at the Dark Luigi. "Begone!" He screams triumphantly as he soars straight into him.
Dark Luigi smirks. "Die."
He grabs Luigi by the had before he can strike him, then slams his head onto the ground. Blood pours out of Luigi's nose and mouth as he lets out a wail of pain. Dark Luigi kicks him over, so his front faces towards the sky. He generates several dark fireballs from his hand, and without a second thought, hurls them into Luigi's chest. The fire burns through Luigi's clothes and skin, revealing his muscles, bones, and heart underneath. He screams violently, he tries to call for help but before he can even utter a word, Dark Luigi steps on his neck.
"You should have listened to me, fool. Yours will be the first life I take on this Earth. You should be honored. Now, if we're all done here…. Perish" He twists his foot, snapping Luigi's neck, killing him. He then turns around and reaches deep into Luigi's chest cavity and tears out his heart. He smirks as he holds it in his hand, blood dripping furiously from it. He then squeezes with tremendous strength, pulverizing it instantly. He smiles wickedly as the blood covers his costume. He looks over at Peach's castle, and grins even more.
"It's time for me to introduce myself to the rest of the world, wouldn't you agree, Luigi?"
