Paradise estate never looked better the ponies where getting ready for summer by having the garden planted with flowers and vegetables. Surprise was helping Posey with the last of watering the soil and turning it over with a rake.
Posey was busy sprinkling seeds and Galaxy was chasing butterflies with Ribbon and baby Ribbon and baby Lofty. Ribbon stopped galloping and panted
"come on little ones time for your nap time" Galaxy nodded her head "oh yes it's important for healthy ponies."
The little ones groaned "please just a little more play time" they asked with big pleading eyes but Ribbon shaked her head "as you know we are having the summer ball tonight and you all must be well rested now into the nursery you go and no more complaints."
The baby ponies walked towards the nursery and began chatting "remember we are going to have ice cream" Said Lofty as the ponies went to their beds. Paradise cane into the nursery with a book of fairytales "now today's tail is Queen Sweet tooth" she said and began reading as the little ponies fell into a sleep she closed the nursery door and smiled.
At the end of the rainbow was a young girl she was just finishing her homework and began to flip through a magazine.
Horses for sale she found an article about a grey pony that was a gelding called gelato.
She went to the porch and looked at the empty enclosed field and closed her eyes. A pony trotting up to her with a long mane and tail of a creamy flaxen silky mane she hands where inches away when a voice called out.
"Jade dinner you're the last one this time and you are clearing the plates for the four of us!" It was a man's voice Jade sighed heavily she had always been the last person at dinner and her family had rules.
The last person to sit at the table had to do the dishes and stack the dishwasher. Or unload it and repack the dishes it was a chore that Jade always did.
Her big brother made sure he was first so she could always clean up after the family. Jade didn't mind being the one to pack the dishwasher but it would be nice if her brother did the same once she had counted all the times he had his own way.
She knew that she wanted a pony for her 11th birthday but her parents just said no and her brother was saying it was a waste of money, space and time.
Jade's grandmother begged to differ it wasn't a waste of space or time she knew how much a pony meant to her grand daughter.
And the impact was huge a pet and best friend as well as making friends at school.
Jade had always been the black sheep in the school always sitting alone when she wished she could've had friends to talk to.
It was because of her big brother Lance spreaded rumours about how she was a freak having long dark hair and how she was like Rapunzel always naive.
Jade took good care of her hair but it was a handful she had to braid it so it wouldn't get caught. She had a room full of ponies from different breeds to horses in coloured posters.
Her bed had a sheet of horse shoes and her bracelet that she wore was a silver Pegasus. It was a gift from her grandpa he said when the sun hits something will happen.
So far the sun had hit the jewellery. But nothing happened to her only her aunt. Said that the bracelet was special to wear and when it was time something magical will happen.
So Jade waited and went to dinner it was pasta with peas and beef mince. Her mother loved to cook the main highlight was chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven.
She cleaned up the plates and went to stack the dishwasher with a sigh. Once outside and in the stable with the new paint smell she waited for the stars to come.
As she waited she began to sing "My heart will go on" by Celine Dieon Jade alway loved the song it really was something sad and hauntingly beautiful to sing.
Well that's chapter one I will have chapter two up soon maybe after Easter
