Death of an Augur
Octavian's POV
I was in the temple of Jupiter, minding my own business, you know slicing open stuffed animals, and pillow pets. Turns out pillow pets make great auguries. But any way I hear this loud bang behind me.
I turn and look and I see about five girls all about 15 to 17, I have never seen before in my life! They all had murderous looks in their eyes.
"Rachel, did your machine work?" one girl asked. She had long brown-black hair, and brown eyes.
"I believe so Amy." the one who must have been Rachel said.
"And look there he is!" another said, she was at least half Chinese.
"I am extremely busy!" I said.
"You won't be for long." Rachel said. "Celeste do you have the equipment?"
"Yes." Celeste said, she was the Chinese girl. She slung off her back pack and pulled out knives.
"I call the first stabbing!" one said. She was one of the short ones, she had blonde hair, but it seemed to be dyed from brown.
"Go ahead Cassidy." Rachel said.
"Who are you? Greeks?" I asked.
"No we are much worse!" Cassidy said.
"Jessie, tell him who we are." Amy said.
The last girl, whose name was apparently Jessie stepped forward, "We are fangirls!"
"What do you want?" I asked.
"We are here to avenge Percy's Panda Pillow Pet!" Rachel said.
"Wow, that's tongue twister." Amy said.
"Amy, control you ADHD." Celeste said.
"Focus on task." Cassidy said. She was still approaching me.
"So you are named after, Caesar Augustus." Jessie said.
"But you will end up like Julius!" Rachel said.
I did the natural thing. I ran out the door to the temple at top speed.
The girls were close on my heels.
Jason's POV
As I was walking down the road to the temples with Piper we heard a really girly scream. We looked ahead and saw Octavian running at top speed with five girls running after him with knives.
"Should we help him?" Piper asked.
I thought about it. "Nah."
Rachel's POV
Soccer practice sure paid off. Octavian was slow and we soon caught up to him. Just because we are some-what merciful, we ended him quick.
"The animals are avenged!" I said.
"Now to business." Celeste said.
"Our payment!" Jessie said.
"Of course." I said.
"Oh look there is Frank now!" Celeste said.
I went up to Frank Zhang with my cloning device, and I made a perfect clone of him. I brought clone Frank over to Celeste.
"Okay now we need to find Leo." I said.
The girls' payments were easy. All I had to do was clone their book crush and give the clone to them. They would marry him in a few years, back in the real world.
We soon found Leo and I made a clone of him for myself.
"Now Nico!" Jessie said.
"Okay, we had to do him next anyway." I said.
We found Nico at the temple of Hades/Pluto and I quickly cloned him and handed the clone over to Jessie.
"Now we go to 'Catching Fire' for Finnick!" Amy said.
"Yeah!" Cassidy agreed.
They both wanted Finnick.
The girls were so happy when I invented the clone machine and the machine that allows you to go into books. We left the 'Son of Neptune' and headed for 'Catching Fire."
Our work here was done.
