Comment: Another entry for the "Shiver" contest over at the DigimonDrabbles community on LJ. It's weird how I usually pair Ken up with Digimon. I blame the Kaiser phase. One lone guy in a floating base with countless Digimon? Come on! ;) But I digress...

Ken was shivering. He normally wouldn't have called it a cold night, but being naked on a balcony for more than five minutes reminded him that "cold" was a very relative term. Hugging his knees, he listened to the voices inside and cursed quietly. "Damn her," he whispered. "Why did she have to get back early today?"

"Now here's something you don't see every day."

The voice made him look up. "G-Gatomon... w-what're you doing here?" he stammered, careful to keep his voice down.

"Asks the man who's naked on the balcony of his fiancée's apartment..." The cat smirked. "Locked yourself out?"

"Er... no."

"Gonna have kinky balcony sex?"

"...no."

Gatomon pretended to be deep in thought before giving him a grin. "Somebody was at the door while you were having wild sex, and you had to hide?" Ken bit his lower lip and looked away. The cat chuckled. "C'mon, she's your future wife. Who could possibly make you hide here?" When he still wouldn't look at her, her grin widened. "Unless you weren't having sex with Yolei..."

"T-this is ridiculous!" Ken protested quietly, but Gatomon was already looking through the window, trying to find Ken's mystery lover.

"I don't get it," she finally muttered. "There's only Yolei and Hawkmon in there. So who-" She froze, her eyes widening. "Oh my Gawd!"

"Let's not jump to conclu-"

"You're cheating on Yolei with her partner?" Gatomon's grin went from ear to ear. "Oh my, what will poor Yolei think?" she asked in mock despair. "Let's ask her!"

"No!" Ken hissed, and Gatomon smirked.

"Well, I guess I could have a convenient memory loss..." the cat mused innocently, "...if the price is right..." She gave him a look.

Ken shivered again, but this time, it had nothing to do with the temperature.
