Alone No More
I was left alone as a child.
My parents taken away,
right in front of my eyes.
My Grandfather turned away.
Moved from place to place.
No place a home.
The only place where I wasn't alone
was inside my mind.
Learning became my world.
People,places and things
thousand's of years old.
I found a place where I wasn't so alone.
I knew I was right.
But they walked out and left me alone.
It brought me to this place.
Where I can prove everything.
A wife was given, I understand why.
But as I watch you leave,
I recall the look in your eyes.
I'm alone no more.
