Norway stopped at the doorway. When Denmark had failed to turn up for the usual Nordic gathering for lunch, Norway had taken it in his stride and decided to look for the missing Dane.
Of course Denmark was a year older (and his acquaintance was met through Sweden whom Finland – his supposed best friend – had been quite smitten with ) so he wouldn't know about Denmark's whereabouts. Norway had been pretty lucky to find that the Dane was still in his classroom, albeit asleep.
The window had been flung open , the warm breeze blowing into the classroom. The sunlight danced through the opening and left a golden touch to everything in the room. Denmark was asleep on the desk next to the window, his face upturned to the sun, his hair highlighted gold by the basking rays of sunlight.
Norway let a smile splay across his lips as he made his way to Denmark. True he had taken a liking for the man before him, although he'd never admit it. Taking a seat in the chair in front of Denmark, Norway observed Denmark's face. All emotions gone, an air of tranquility and innocence enveloped Denmark. That was quite out of character for the fastidious and energetic man.
Norway took one of Denmark's hands and twined their fingers together. While Norway was usually not one to make such hasty actions, he felt a surge of love for the sleeping beauty (yes, Denmark was beautiful – to Norway anyway) and felt the need to just reach out to him. Taking painstaking cares not to wake the Dane up, Norway used his other hand to gently run his fingers through Denmark's hair.
It was peaceful and Norway just hoped the Dane wouldn't wake up to catch him in such an act.
Outside, Finland gasped.
" I won the bet, Finny. Ya owe m' ten." Sweden chuckled softly, holding onto Finland's hand gently.
"B-But… What… Oh dear…" Finland stammered. He certainly could not believe what he was seeing.
A/N: I think this must have been one of the most poorly written stories I have ever done. It was pretty hard flipping back from Nor and Den so many times and descriptions are hard to make without making the sentences unnecessarily long. *O* Well, I hope you liked it Absolute fluff and stuff
