Hawkmon's idea of a fun way to relax was meditating - or sleeping - in a tranquil forest just after dawn. The beach Yolei and the others had dragged him to was the exact opposite of that, of course: it was loud, it was hot, and if he let his guard down, Veemon would most likely pull a prank on him. Yolei on the other hand was happily sunbathing, her face hidden under a magazine as she lay on her back. Sometimes, Hawkmon envied her ability to fall asleep in the noisiest places.
"Hawkmon!" he heard Davis shout. The boy stopped his frantic dash next to him, a frighteningly wide grin plastered on his face. "Got a riddle! Wanna hear?" He quickly looked over his shoulder as he caught his breath and then dropped the bucket he had been holding. "How do you manage to wake up shivering right after a few hours of sunbathing?"
Hawkmon frowned lightly. He usually excelled at riddles, but he couldn't think of an answer.
"Oops, gotta run! Seeya! Bye!" And with that, Davis started running again.
Even before Hawkmon could comment on the boy's sudden departure, he heard another Digidestined's voice. "DAVIS! I'LL KILL YOU! YOU HEAR? YOU DIE TODAY!"
"...Kari?" Hawkmon asked and blinked as the girl dashed past him. She appeared to be even angrier than she had been the one time Hawkmon and Gatomon had found her porn stash. She also appeared to be soaking wet, as if she had just come out of the sea. Hawkmon's eyes suddenly moved towards the bucket again as he made the connection.
And then, a devilish grin formed on his face.
Hawkmon picked up the bucket and walked towards the sea. After all, he hadn't thanked Yolei yet for dragging him to the beach...
