A/N: Okay a new fanfic, new pairing. It's a scene off Emmerdale and I probably have missed bits out but I have put bits of my own in.
Rhona was sat on the sofa thinking after Marlon had taken her son Leo back to his and Laurel's. She knew Vanessa was the only person on her side now and she needed to keep her on side.
Vanessa had just walked in after making drinks in the kitchen "you didn't even say goodbye."
Rhona looked up at her best friend and replies "I didn't get the chance to, did I?" Rhona then paused before replying "I'm sorry for pulling away from you earlier. I don't want Paddy finding about us..." At Vanessa's face of 'what about us' she carried on "...and not in that way. I mean to talk through things properly."
Vanessa was quick to reply "You had all day. Look if you're having second thoughts..."
Rhona knew now what she needed to do to keep her friend on side "Don't say that."
Vanessa doubted things now as she was leaning against something in the room "That's how I feel!"
Rhona was now fighting her corner as she rubs Vanessa's arms "It's the truth!"
Vanessa made a slight laugh and shook her head "I don't know if you know what that means anymore."
"My life was a mess, but I'm sorting it. I know what I want now. I need you. I love you" Rhona had replied in a fake but lovingly at Vanessa.
Vanessa looked confused as she looked in Rhona's eyes. They both lean in a bit then pull back quickly.
Rhona put her hands on Vanessa's cheeks as they lean in and kiss gently but passionately.
After a few seconds of kissing they pull back and Rhona pulled Vanessa into hug which Vanessa accept.
One thought went through Rhona's mind 'what am I doing? I love Paddy and having an affair with Vanessa.'
