Don't own Mako Mermaids. This is set after the final episode of season 1.
"Didn't you ever watch television? Not even at Rita's." Evie asked the three mermaids before her. "What's a television?" Sirena asked. "I know! It is a little box with moving pictures on it." Nixie said. "You're right Nix." Zac said. "Since you three never saw it, we are going to do a film night." Evie said. "A film night?" Lyla asked confused. "Yes. At my garage." "Zac, do you want to get popcorn and sea food please?" Evie asked him. "I'll bring the movies." "What, but I have plenty of movies." Zac complained. "Yeah, but Zac. Are you sure that Saw and Scream are the best movies to begin with?" "You've got a point." "What are Saw and Scream?" Lyla asked them. "They are horror movies. People get killed in them and they are really scary." Evie explained. "But don't worry Zac. I'll bring Scary Movie."
That night, Lyla, Nixie and Sirena walked towards Zac's garage. "I'm so excited." Sirena said smiling. "I hope it will be funny to watch." Evie opened the door for them. "Hey, come on in. Zac and me are almost ready." She said. The three girls walked in and sat down on his bank. "What do you want to drink?" Evie asked them. All three of them wanted water with a little salt in it. "Which movie do you want to start with?" Zac asked his girlfriend. "I wanted to start with this one." Evie said and she hold up Aquamarine. "Aquamarine. That's the name of one of the members of the pod." Lyla said sceptic. "A chick flick, serious?" "C'mon Zac. After this one, I'll put on the Hangover." "It's a deal." Zac said.
During the movie, Sirena, Nixie and Lyla asked a lot of questions. "Why is her tail blue?", "Where are her powers?", "Why does she get her tail back when the sun goes down?" where the simplest questions. Zac and Evie needed to explain to them that the movie was fake and that she wasn't a real mermaid.
"Wait Zac. Before you put on the next movie, I'll need to show you a television show I found. It's called H20 just add water." Evie said. "What is it about?" Zac asked. "You'll see." Evie said and she put on the first episode. "Mako!" Lyla, Nixie, Sirena and Zac yelled at the same time. "This isn't the end. Just watch." Evie told them. The group saw the characters Emma, Cleo and Rikki going into a moon pool and saw the effects of the full moon. The next morning in the episode showed the three girls transforming into mermaids, with identical fins like Lyla, Nixie and Sirena. "Unbelievable…" Nixie said slowly. "Apparently, someone found out about mermaids and how you look." "They took shots of Mako island for this program and examples of your tails." "But these girls can't be real mermaids, can they?" Sirena asked. "No. As soon as I saw this program, I googled them and I found a YouTube clip where they get wet and don't turn into mermaids. They even showed how they build a fake moon pool." Evie told them. "Let's not worry about it tonight and tell Rita about it tomorrow." Zac said. "Good idea." Lyla said. Evie put on the Hangover part one and they proceeded watching Scary Movie afterwards. Sirena got scared from that one and Evie put on the little mermaid to help her relax.
