Pink Stripes
Ezra lay in bed with Jackie asleep next to him and though he was tired he felt too wired to fall asleep. He didn't know why his mind kept wandering back to earlier in the week when he'd been at school. He'd been standing outside the teachers offices talking to a buddy from one of his classes when someone ran into him.
He'd looked up at the girl that'd bumped into him as she apologized profusely before hurrying on into a professor's office. His eyes followed her form for a second longer before he turned back to the book in his hand and went on with his conversation.
It wasn't until later that night when he was all alone that that moment popped into his head out of nowhere. He began to wonder why she was in such a hurry. What was her story? Who was she? Was she a student at Hollis and if so what was her major? He didn't know why all those questions formed in his head over such a meaningless meeting, or more appropriately, crash meeting.
And while he'd only gotten a quick glimpse before she turned away, he somehow remembered that she'd had pink stripes in her hair. And also, he remembered guiltily, she was incredibly beautiful.
It shamed him to be having these thoughts for the past few days when he had a woman that he dearly loved but for some reason unknown to him he kept thinking of her. Her pale complexion, those big doe eyes, and her small stature all rolled together gave her the image of a porcelain doll. She was the kind of girl that guys loved to date because it made them feel powerful but not in the way that they could take advantage of her. It was in the way that the guy would be her protector and every guy, even the most timid, craved that feeling deep down.
Ezra stiffened when he felt Jackie throw her arm over his stomach and curl closer to him. He closed his eyes and sighed, gratefully that he was brought out if his thoughts. But when he looked down at the woman in his arms and his eyes fell on her dark brown hair, another dark head of hair popped back in his head. The pink striped girl had the most luscious and bouncy hair that he'd ever seen and he would love to run his fingers through it.
Sighing he wrapped his arms around Jackie and tried to fall asleep. When he finally succumbed to the darkness, his mind assaulted him with thoughts of the pink striped girl.
I'm relatively new to writing for PLL and I'm not quite sure how much I like this but I decided to put it up. Hope you enjoyed and feel free to review :)
