All Things come to an End

Disclaimer:

PotC and its characters don't belong to me… This was written just for fun.

It was a bright and sunny day. The birds sang their never-ending songs, the soft breeze gently rippled the tree's leaves. The sky was blue without any cloud in sight.

The small town situated near to the sea lay there in complete silence. Until… well, until there was the faint sound of drums being beat in a steady rhythm. The beat grew faster and louder at the same time.

In a lonely cell so small you could barely walk two steps in the same direction sat Will Turner. He was the last of the three prisoners that had once been there. They had executed Jack three days ago – and with him a few other pirates who hadn't been careful enough around Port Royal.

Will sighed deeply as he remembered Elizabeth's reaction to Jack's death. She had stood at the same cross-barred window he sat under now, trying to catch one last look at the man she loved with all her heart. But she hadn't succeeded. When the drums had stopped, she had broken down and cried.

Will regretted that he had ever told Jack and Elizabeth that he knew where Jones' heart was. If he hadn't, the three of them had never come to Port Royal – he wouldn't sit in this lonely cell now.

The handsome man heard how the drum's beat got faster and faster until it reached its peak… Today they had taken her – Elizabeth. She had been dragged out of the cell without as much as a goodbye. Now it was her standing on the town square with a heavy rope around her neck. In mere seconds she would be dead… He would never see her again… She would… The drums had stopped… It was over… She was gone.

The End

A/N:

Alright, sorry, I know this wasn't… nice… probably. But I wrote this shortly before I watched AWE (Didn't like it, by the way) and thought this was just an opportunity that will never ever be in the movie… I think ;-)
