A/N: I have come to understand why everything I wrote of late has been fluff and sickly sweet and (bar one story) non-angst… it is because fluff is light and well, fluffy… it weighs less, therefore floats to the surface quicker, and comes off first. (That made sense in my head… now writing it down I'm not so sure…)

A/n 2: This is a response to prompt2 "Fireplace" over at the LJ community gsrdrabbles.

She is standing in the middle of my living room, glass of wine in her hand, swaying softly to the low tones of Beethoven on the stereo.

I lean against the kitchen counter, content to just watch her without any inhibitions.

She doesn't react to my gaze, lost in her own world.

The light from the fireplace throws patterns against her skin, making her glow. They're captivating. Beautiful. Like her.

And in that moment, I finally get it. I am in love with Sara Sidle. I have been for years.

I love her.

And it's time I finally told her.
