Summary: "Have you ever noticed that the sun is more beautiful when you watch it with someone you care about?" – Angela.

A/N: This is my first Bones fic. It tried not to be too OOC. The quote is from The Salt In The Wounds (4x17). All grammar and spelling mistakes are mine. Please review!

Booth leaned against his black truck with a Styrofoam carryout box full of pie. "You sure you don't want any pie?" he asked for the hundredth time as Brennan took a spot beside him against the big black truck.

"Yes. It's too sweet, Booth."

"It's pie. It's supposed to be sweet," he replied.

"Isn't there pie for people who don't like sugary pie?"

"Chicken pot pie," he replied before scooping a spoonful of pie into his mouth and laughing. "Come on Bones, you got to admit that was pretty funny."

"No, it wasn't actually."

Brennan glanced through her sun glasses at the sinking sun. The silhouette of the monumental buildings of Washington, DC stood boldly against the orange sky.

"The sun's setting…" she said as Angela's words re-entered her mind: Have you ever noticed that the sun is more beautiful when you watch it with someone you care about?

She had answered "No," but with a glance at Booth, she knew exactly what she meant.

"What?" Booth asked, "You want some of my pie, don't you?"

"No," she replied with a smirk. "I just haven't watched the sun set in a long time. It's quite appealing."

"Bones, just say it's beautiful. That's what normal people do."

A/N: So, how was it? It's short, but I had to get the fic idea out of my head. Writing for Brennan isn't that easy either. Enjoy and please review!
