Author's Notes:
This was actually part of a game me and my friend were playing, we'd challanege eachother to write oneshots randomly to keep us from catching writers block. Some of them are good enough to post, so expect more of these up soon.
This was one supposed to be a novelization of Kadaj's death. MAJOR SPOILERS. If you havn't seen the movie, you probably won't be able to enjoy this to it's fullest extent. And you proably should'nt be reading this thanks to the spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn ya...

He felt it. He felt it all. Each blow dealt upon his body as Omnislash was commenced upon him. Even though his body wasn't his own at the moment, he could still feel the burning pain of the the holy power that was being used against him. Victory was now slipping from his grasp...How soon would it be?...
"I will not remain a mere memory..." Sephiroth's voice echoed across Kadaj's conscious, ringing in the boy's ears.
Kadaj knew these words to be true, Sephiroth could never stay just a memory. But did that mean Kadaj's part in this was over? No, it couldn't. He still had so much to do...Then, slowly, he felt the use of his body return to him. And with the return of that, the pain slammed his body with full force. The unadulterated power of Cloud's spirit was causing the wounds to spread the hurt quickly through his body. Kadaj wanted to scream, to let the pain escape through his voice, but refrained himself, instead bringing his eyes to Cloud's.
The rage still coursing through his veins, Kadaj brought himself to stand and then with the little strength still left in him, charged at his enemy, with a shout of pure anger. But then he felt his legs collapse out from under him as the pain continued to eat away his very own life...the young man crumpled into Cloud's arms. Not sure what to say, he winced as another wave of pain washed over him.
"...Brother?" He asked, his vision blurring, with the pain and with the tears.
Cloud didn't reply, but instead a warm, feminine voice spoke to Kadaj. "Kadaj?"
Kadaj's heart leapt with joy, for a few fleeting moments as the voice continued. "Let's stop working so hard..."
"Mother...is that you?" He asked. Everything he had worked for...had it come true? Was this the mother who had spoken to him so often in his dreams?
"Let's go back with everyone, shall we?"
Kadaj nodded softly, giving a small noise of affirmation. Then he winced as a rain drop hit his face, suddenly expecting the same burning feeling that the rain had brought upon him in the church. But no, instead, the rain was slowly numbing the pain in his body, washing it away. Kadaj was curious as to how come it didn't harm him anymore? Was he purified now that Sephiroth had left his body?
Kadaj's fist clenched for a moment, then it relaxed as he lifted it up. Cloud's eyes followed as he remained silent, awed by the scene before him. This is it...this is all I was meant to be...I'm ready to go back, mother...
A floating sensation overcame Kadaj, and he watched his hand as it slowly dissolved into the green aura of the lifestream. His tears were now streaming down his face as the last of his body faded away. Even if he was now physically 'gone', Kadaj was still existent spiritually. He could still feel the unadulterated love for his mother mixing with that of the lady who had spoken to him earlier...a light blinded his vision, but a calming sense then settled over him.
Mother..I'm ready to spend my eternity with you...don't let me go, please...I love you still...
