This is based of Mirror by Lil Wayne ft. Bruno Mars. I don't own the characters, nor the song, only the plot and writing style.

I wrote this after discussing the events after Persona 3 with a friend. We both agreed that Junpei and Yukari might get together, altough we toyed with the idea of them sleeping together the night Minato dies. If you've read Runaway Love, it happens after that.

It's been three days. Three days since that night. And she's looking at herself critically in the mirror, eyes slightly narrowed as she picks at her imperfections. She did it because of that night, the way the guilt bubbled in her stomach everytime she glanced his way, everytime he spoke loud enough for her to hear, everytime she saw him at school. She'd admit it, she was hiding from him. She had to. She'd broken him enough already.

She stopped the thoughts, staring through herself. So much hidden pain, love that she disguised as hate, and the pride...the pride bit at her heels, made her the horrible, twisted figure she was. And people thought she was so perfect, a statue on display. She lets out a hollow laugh. She could only see her disatisfyied gaze, her own eyes glaring back at her.

Here she was again, staring back at herself in this blasted mirror. This is where she was a year ago, staring at herself and questioning if she was doing the right thing, if she really wanted to know what dark secrets lurked in her past. And back then she told herself that it was fine, everyone had a dark secret, right? She just needed to reslove hers and she would be fine.

"Why am I here again if everythings resolved?"

She couldn't stop questioning herself, eyes darkening and misting over a little from the jabs in her heart. She just kept lying the pain away, but he, he knew. He saw her. How, how could he see her so clearly when she didn't know where she was anymore? But Junpei wasn't by her side, by her own stupid pride. She was too mixed up, or thats what she wanted to believe. She didn't want to think she could fall in love again so easily.

She didn't know a single person that had stood by herside, other than herself. She was the only one that would correct herself, stand herself up straighter and force her way into the world. A single tear rolls down her cheeks, the shame biting at her guilt ridden heart. She'd used someone again. Just for momentary pleasure.

She traces one of the faint scars the past year had left on her. She's somewhat satisfied with it, glad something was there to remind her she was mortal, that the past year did happen. The past floods to her mind, and a broken smile works it's way onto her lips as images of her father appear before her. She looked a little like him. So she reaches out, pressing her hand against the cold glass.

The image was just a trick, smoke and mirrors, as it where. It was gone before she could grasp it, her hand laying on an empty surface. For some reason, she draws her fist back, and slams it back into the mirror. It shatters from the force, and Yukari slumps to the floor with it. She had to change. She needed to change.

She doesn't pick herself up for the longest moment, hand caked in dried blood from breaking the mirror. But, she feels numb to it, a sense of loss arising as she realizes she broke her only companion. It was there for her through her rise and fall. She glances down at the broken pieces, her reflection making her smile weakly. Somehow, she thinks someone would still tell her she looks beautiful like this.
