Hey, hope you enjoy this. Also, disclaimer: I HAVE NO OWNERSHIP BECAUSE THIS OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T HAPPEN

It's a beautiful sunny day. You're outside, and birds are pecking at the food on the ground. Your prince is nearby, getting his horse some water to drink from the small stream that runs near your house. He came to find you this morning, and when you leave for the castle tonight, you know you'll never return. You're fine with this considering all the stuff that happened here.

It's when he calls, "Cinderella!" that you finally turn your head. You walk towards him, careful to not step in the mangled remains of your stepsister's bloated corpses. Your shoes could get dirty, and honestly, the birds don't need to be scared away from their new favorite treat. That would be horrible considering all they've done for you.

As you pass it, you fondly place your left hand on one of the burned branches of the old oak tree. It's been sitting in this yard for as long as you can remember, and it holds beautiful memories. Possibly the best was two nights ago when, to celebrate your wedding, you tied Anastasia's and Drizella's mother to it and set the fire that has blackened the bark. She screamed out for your father, but he was already locked in the castle where he faces trial for ignoring you and letting you become the servant you were for so many years. Her ribbon is still tied to the branch you're touching, somehow not burned away.

"Cinderella!" is called again, and you continue walking to your prince, to your happy ever after, and away from all the worthless excuses for human beings that deserved every gift you gave them.
