He was nocturnal.
Well, that's the proper term.
He wasn't usually one for proper terms.
No. But nocturnal was what he was.
The dark was his home.
His place.
His bloody prison.
The brightness of the day
was harsh and punishing.
But the night.
The gloom was both his protector
and his captor.
He was indeed
Nocturnal.
