"Virginia!"
Draco Malfoy ran helplessly as he watched her fall to the ground. He looked around desperately for help but found none. Everyone else seemed to be fighting and yet he knew that the battle was lost. Because although they may win, he lost her. The one person he tried so hard to hold onto.
He ran to her lifeless body and cradled it. He looked down to see her usual peaceful and happy face expressionless. One tear seemed to fall from his eyes. One tear. That's all it took before he picked his wand up and went after whoever did this.
Harry Potter wasn't there. He wasn't there to boss him around, nor to tell him what he couldn't or shouldn't do. This was the last battle and yet it seemed Harry Potter wasn't ready. After everything that had happened, Perfect Potter wasn't ready. So what does one do? Flee of course and run to the Order of the Phoenix.
Draco ran quickly to catch up to the person that would do this to Virginia. To him. He scolded himself and thought about that day. It was the worst day of his entire life.
----------
Virginia looked around quietly wondering where she was.
"Welcome" a woman said, offering her hand. Virginia took it carefully and let the woman lead her.
"Am I dead?" Virginia asked.
"Is anyone ever truly dead?" the woman asked in return.
"So then where am I exactly?"
"You won't remember this Virginia because you aren't supposed to. You haven't finished your job within the living."
"What does that mean though?" she asked not understanding it all.
"It means dear you must go back…"
----------
Virginia Weasley looked up. She quickly laughed never believing how good it could feel to be alive. She leap up realizing life wasn't exactly at its high point. While she may be alive, and she may have received another chance, she was still in the middle of a battle.
She looked around searching for Draco. She had realized long ago that maybe, just maybe, Slytherin's finest might actually be good for her. Going against the traditional feud, she became friends with Draco Malfoy.
She found Draco chasing after someone like a madman. She laughed at the sight until she realized he must have thought she was dead. Heck, even she thought she had died.
Virginia ran quickly looking around trying to dodge curses and get to Draco in time.
"A –"
"Draco Malfoy don't you dare! Put the damned wand down now!" she yelled.
Draco spun quickly in surprise. He actually laughed and thought he was seriously going insane.
"I'm real," she said a smile tugging her lips.
He nodded and she walked over wrapping her arms around him. He smiled and they both turned to see the pathetic Death Eater who had killed her once.
Now, seeing her alive again mustn't have been easy because he seemed to have fainted. Draco shrugged and put a body bind on him and Draco and Virginia walked hand in hand bringing the passed out Death Eater behind them.
A/N:
Hello! Well, this is a Prologue, but also the ending. You'll have to see, but I set it up where I put the ending as the Prologue.
