This cord that ties theses wings to me
Is past and fluttered, so to see
The winged stone and frozen glee.
Tatters rustic rouge and white
Upon ancient stone and blooded night
Broken shards and feathered flight
Shattered bonds that blind my sight
These wings collared round my neck

These tethered wings the next time you gaze
Will be on my back and in ivory haze.
