It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. The sun was just rising over the hills of Sweet Apple Acres. As usual, Applebloom was up early, but today she was up even before Big Mackintosh. Because today was NO ordinary day for the young pony. Today was going to be the day that she, Applebloom, was going to earn her cutie mark. She was SURE of it. Because today Princess Celestia was visiting Ponyville! And of all the ponies in Equestria, the Princess was SURELY the one to ask how to get one. Finally, after what seemed like HOURS (and probably was), the rooster crowed and Big Mackintosh lumbered sleepily into the kitchen. Applebloom was dying to explain all about what the day was going to bring to her big brother, but even though he was nice during the day, Big Mac was NOT the person to cross in the mornings. So Apple Bloom politely said good morning and then asked very nicely if she could go into town with her friends. Big Mac groggily said, "Eyup." Apple Bloom screeched with joy and darted out into Ponyville towards Rarity's shop.
Before Applebloom even rung the doorbell Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were there to meet her.
" are you ready to get your CUTIE MARKS?" Applebloom screeched.
"YES YES YES!" Scootaloo, ecstatic, exclaimed in response.
"Well then, let's GO!"
They all put their hooves in and counted down.
"3...2...1… CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!"
And then they set off into town.
