Created for the Hot Chocolate Competition/Challenge.

The sound of the Floo made Andromeda Tonks look up from the contents of the pot she was stirring, a smile lighting her face briefly. "Teddy, is that you? I thought you were going to be at Harry's all day?" She'd known that Harry and Teddy had made plans to help nearly 2 year old James make his first snowman, as well as having a snowball fight with Victoire and Dominique.

Her eight year old grandson crossed into the kitchen slowly, shoulders hunched and his hair a listless brown. "I…I didn't feel well." He said softly, avoiding his grandmother's eyes, "I asked Harry if I could come home, and he said it might be best, so I don't give it to Ginny or the babies." Andromeda sighed and nodded, pointing to one of the chairs at the worn kitchen table. "Sit yourself down Teddy-boy, I've got hot chocolate brewing and you can tell me what's wrong."

Teddy sat obediently, staring down at the mug of hot chocolate Andromeda pressed into his hands before she sat down across from him. "It's Albus, isn't it?" She asked after a few long moments. The young boy hesitated and then nodded, glancing at her for a moment before looking away. "They have two little boys of their own now." He murmured, "What if they don't want me around anymore? I love Harry and Ginny; I don't want to lose them because I can't fit in."

"You won't lose them, Teddy-boy." She replied, "They love you too. You're practically part of their family." He shrugged listlessly. "Practically, yeah, but not for real. I don't even know that much about my real family. Just that they died, and the bits you told me as bedtime stories."

Andromeda sighed, reaching to ruffle her grandson's hair affectionately. "You know Teddy, your mum and Granddad used to drink hot chocolate at this same table. Only they liked to dip strawberries in theirs. Said it made the whole thing taste even better. I blame your grandfather for teaching your mum that trick. Ruining perfectly tasty strawberries, they were." Teddy looked up, a small, surprised smile lighting his face.

"And your dad…I didn't know him long, but he loved hot chocolate as well. He and your mum drank it here many times the winter before you were born, even to just a few days before your birth. Maybe that's why you love it so much, eh Teddy-boy?"

"Yeah, maybe that's why." Teddy agreed, grinning at her, "Thanks Gran. You always can make me feel better. You're probably right about Harry and Ginny too." Andromeda smiled in reply, watching her grandson's hair flash from brown to sunshine yellow and then blue as he drank his hot chocolate, and listening to the snow howling around their little home. It was dark and cold outside, and she knew that soon she would have to face the boy's doubt again, but in here for now they were safe and warm with their hot chocolate and memories.
