A Snipers Greatest Strength.

Ian has enemies.

Ian has secrets.

His secrets are kept to protect himself and to protect other people, one in particular.

If the world thinks him incapable of caring then they cannot find, will not even look for those he cares about to use against him.

Invisibility is a snipers greatest strength. Hiding parts of himself, of his life, is just another way for Ian to remain invisible.

The Expected Answers.

Ask most people what Ian Edgerton cares most about in the world and you will get the expected answers- his guns, freedom, his sniper ranking, having a high case clearance rate- and they would all be wrong.

If you ask Don Eppes and his team at the FBI's LA field office (some of the few people Ian considers to be friends) you will get one of those same expected answers and a change of subject.

However in each of their minds will be an image of a short man with dark unruly curls and chalk dust on his fingers.
