Gibbs had to do this. Paula's family deserved more than just a phone call from someone who had never even met their daughter. Jenny volunteered but it needed to come from someone who had been there when Paula died. Someone who understood the loss and the grief that would follow. So Gibbs volunteered. He punched in the numbers carefully.
"Hello, this is June Cassidy," a voice said on the other end.
"Mrs Cassidy," Gibbs began, "I have some bad news." Gibbs heard a glass break on the other end. He heard June Cassidy's world shatter in a million irreparable pieces.
