Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast ..

The movie was now over and the 5 year old girl was getting restless.

"Mama! I`m bored! I wanna go to the shop to visit daddy!" she pleaded.

"Sweetheart, you know how your father feels about you being in there. There are lots of things in that shop that can break easily or hurt you" said Belle, placing little Sophie on her lap. "Besides don t you want to stay here with me and watch another movie"?

"Yes, but not one that is so girly and boring."

She had never considered this movie to be boring, girly yes if you took into account this world`s pessimistic beliefs about true love and happily ever afters but never boring. It was after all, inspired by her life and she had hoped the fruit of their love would at least take kindly to it.

"Why do you think its boring? Its a beautiful love story"

"No, its boring. Nothing happens. I like The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty better, they have cuter prince`s."

"Sophie!" Belle said "Sophie... Appearances do not matter, real beauty lies within. Someday you will meet somebody and you`ll fall in love and trust me it won`t matter to you what he looks like."

"I know. But I still think this movie is lame" said Sophie, as she climbed off of her mothers lap and headed upstairs towards her room.

"Sophie where are you going?"

"I am going to go get Cinderella. I like that movie too." said Sophie

"Oh-um.. Okay. I guess I`ll make more popcorn" said Belle.

She was shocked, and wondered what Rumple would think of this. "Perhaps he`ll think its funny" she thought. He personally never really liked the movie and was offended at the fact that he was being portrayed as an actual beast. He even once went as far as throwing his cane at the television when Gaston went to ask Belle to be his bride. In the end, he would much rather prefer to watch Nosferatu.
