After Triton's infestation at his homeland Aiur, a few Terran refugees have succeeded on their escape. They got back to their Goliath suits as they were pilots. Suddenly, a Terran ghost appeared to be uncloaking himself. His name was Daniel. He wears a Terran ghost attire (same attire as in the game) with his armed weapon, the Canister Rifle. At his distance, he saw ultralisks charging towards the Terran base. The ultralisks appeared to be angry beasts as they barged in the base by first destroying the bunkers. The wraiths were attacking the invading ultralisks as they shoot them in land. The ultralisks fall to their death as the last ultralisks was charging forward where Daniel is standing on his defense spot. As the ultralisk was about to hit Daniel, he shot the ultralisk in the eye before it attacks him. After the ambush, a massive Zerg fleet has passed through the Terran base covered by their shadows. The fleet appear to have 7 mutalisks guarding a Protoss scout plane. "Unlike that amateur, I guess I'm leaving. You boys just stay here. I'll follow that fleet." Before Daniel leaves the base, he saluted to his soldiers riding in a wraith plane. The wraith's door was about to close as Daniel flies the wraith and leaves to follow the Zerg base.
The wraith's speed was fast during his ride. 'I wonder where did that come from?' he thought. He saw the carrier was about to land on the same infested command center as in the previous war. Before he went in, he saw a dark templar in a red cape outside of the carrier. When he mentioned that a dark templar belonged to the Zerg, he noticed the command center was left open. When he came out of his hiding spot, he was spotted by a few Hunter Killers as they sent Daniel inside the command center with force. Daniel was inside. But now, he was facing a red figure facing Daniel at front of him. "I remeber you...old friend." As Daniel heard his voice, he was shocked as he was saying the name of the betrayal: "Triton."
