A/N: I don't know if anyone actually reads vghs fanfiction anymore but this was something that popped in my head. Let me know if you want to read more.

It had been a year since Jenny had left vghs. The only person she kept in contact with was Ki. She couldn't bear keeping in touch with Brian. It hurt too much. If she had a choice she probably wouldn't be sitting in this hotel room waiting to go to the campus with the rest of the Panthers. The only reason she was here was for world championships that got rescheduled and relocated due to issues with the building they were supposed to play in. The match was against GBGA (Great Britain Gaming Academy) and all she knew about the team was that they got a new captain recently that completely changed the paced of the team.

To say she was nervous getting to the campus was an understatement. She knew she hurt people when she left when she did and how she did (her thoughts mainly on Brian) and she knew that they might not be happy to see her. Arriving on campus she was immediately met with the sight of Ted and Ki. Her first thought was how much she must have hurt Brian.

After talking to Ted and Ki for awhile she learned that after she left Brian threw himself into FoF and was determined to get into the pro circuit. Apparently he succeeded as well, he was no longer at VGHS and he never told anyone what team he was going to.

Brian was getting in the zone. His team is warming up for the match that is about to start. They are completely ready for this game and they all know it. He knows that Jenny is on the other team. What he doesn't know is how she and others will react when they see him. And how he has quickly become captain and turned this team around. In the pro circuit each team differentiates their captain differently.

The GBGA however does this by having everyone else (since they are all males on the team) wearing white button down shirts and black slacks while the captain wears a black button down and black slacks, they all have their sleeves rolled up halfway and they look professional.

He can hear the crowd cheering for the panthers and knows it's almost time for his team to go out. Since his team knew about his history at VGHS they thought it would be fun to have Brian come out last instead of leading the team out. This is what he lives for now. The sound of the crowd. The hype of the game.

To say he got over Jenny would be the biggest lie. He feels too many different emotions towards her for it to be possible for him to be over her. If he lets himself think about her anyone can read the emotions that he goes through, sadness, anger, resentment for not being enough for her to stay, and love because she is the one person he has ever opened his heart to. So instead of letting all those feelings control his life he just put everything jenny into an imaginary box and pretended it all didn't exist… until now that is.

He is no longer that scrawny gamer that people pick on. The GBGA enforces the rule of for every hour spent on practicing at least an hour is spent in the gym. He has completely changed his look and is most definitely the strongest on the team.

His thoughts are interrupted when one of his teammates walk in and tell him it's time for them to go out there. He is standing behind his teammates about to walk out when he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Brian?!"
