Mossshadow's Destiny

Mosskit is just an ordinary kit born in SunClan, or so she thinks. After receiving a dream from StarClan, SunClan's leader Brightstar realizes that Mosskit is the key to saving SunClan. But the question is…from what? Follow Mosskit as she grows up in SunClan and realizes her destiny one pawstep at a time. Rated T because of normal Warriors things.

1. Prologue and Allegiances

Hey guys! This is my first warriors story on this profile about my character Mossshadow and her journey as she grows up in SunClan and realizes her destiny! I hope you all enjoy and review if you enjoyed!

Prologue

It was around moonhigh, and a black she-cat was resting on a nest of moss in a den made out of a bush. She was curled up next to her mate, a dark-gray tom. She was expecting his kits, and insisted on being by her side when the kits were coming. She was due anytime that quarter moon, and their medicine cat told them to look out for the signs. So of course, her mate was constantly around her. The black she-cat was a bit irritated, but she knew he meant well.

She felt herself cramping up, and the more she ignored it, the more the pain increased. It was becoming hard to ignore, so she jabbed her storm-colored mate in the side. Hard.

The tom woke up immediately, his forest green eyes shone with worry. "Chervilleaf? What's wrong?"

Chervilleaf winced, another cramp hit her. She felt like another cat was raking their claws through her belly. "I think the kits are coming." She choked out through the pain.

The tom's eyes widened and he ran over to a cream-colored she-cat and a brown she-cat across the den. He woke the two she-cats and meowed. "Chervilleaf's kits are coming, look over her until I fetch Cloudysky." He sprinted out of the den and the two she-cats padded over to Chervilleaf.

"Relax Chervilleaf, Cloudysky will be here soon." The cream-colored she-cat meowed.

"Daisypatch? What's going on?" A small cream-colored kit mewed sleepily.

"Yeah." Another cream-colored kit meowed.

"We are trying to sleep." A ginger kit threw in.

"Chervilleaf's kits are coming." Daisypatch meowed to the kits. "Relax and stay over there." She turned her attention back to Chervilleaf.

Chervilleaf's mate returned with Cloudysky, and the Medicine Cat padded over to Chervilleaf with a stick between his jaws. "Ok Chervilleaf. Put this stick in your mouth." He meowed giving it to her. He turned to the other cats. "All of you please exit the den besides Mousewatcher." He meowed pointing his tail towards the brown tabby she-cat. "I need her to lick the kits when they arrive."

Daisypatch and her kits exited the den, but Chervilleaf's mate stayed behind for a second, giving her a comforting lick. "Stay strong Chervilleaf. I can't wait to meet our kits." He exited the den after that, giving her a loving gaze as he padded out.

Chervilleaf felt a spasm travel through her body. She bit down on her stick as the medicine cat told her to push. She pushed with all her might and pain shot through her body.

"The first kit is out!" Cloudysky shouted. "Mousewatcher lick it!"

The brown tabby licked the kits fur as Cloudysky got ready to deliver the next kit.

"Just one more." Cloudysky mewed. "You're almost done."

Chervilleaf pushed one last time, pain shooting through her body. The last kit landed on the bedding, and Mousewatcher licked the last kit.

"Congratulations." Cloudysky purred. "You are the mother of two she-kits."

The two kits were brought over to Chervilleaf's belly for a meal, and she gazed lovingly at her kits. The first born she-cat was black with bright amber eyes, and the second she-cat was dark-gray with eyes the color of spruce leaves. "Their beautiful." She murmured. She looked up at Cloudysky. "Tell Stormshade to come in."

Cloudysky nodded and exited the den to retrieve Chervilleaf's mate. Stormshade entered, and smiled warmly at his mate and kits. He approached Chervilleaf and nuzzled her affectionately. "What should we name them?" He asked.

Chervilleaf looked down at the black she-kit. "Amberkit, because of her amber eyes." She meowed. "You can name our other daughter."

Stormshade looked down at the dark-gray she-kit and meowed. "She looks like Mossyrock."

Mossyrock was Stormshade's mother, whom had died a few moons back in a battle with CloudClan. Chervilleaf nodded. "She does. Do you want to name her Mosskit?"

Stormshade nodded.

Chervilleaf smiled. "Mosskit it is."

A white she-cat with ginger patches, tail and ears entered the den and meowed. "I see that your kit's have been born Chervilleaf. They look strong, and look at that! Their eyes are open already!" She purred. "What are their names?"

Stormshade answered. "The black she-cat is named Amberkit and the dark-gray she-cat is named Mosskit."

The white and ginger she-cat smiled and meowed. "Those are lovely names. The future looks bright for SunClan."

Chervilleaf purred and Stormshade gave his kits a look of pride. "Thank you, Brightstar." Chervilleaf meowed.

Brightstar nodded and touched her nose to the fur of both kits before exiting the den and heading towards her own. As she padded across the clearing, she couldn't help but wonder about the dark-gray kit.

Is Mosskit the kit StarClan told me about? The one that will save SunClan from destruction?
