She smiled, her full red lips curving delightfully as they pulled the rental car down the street. Their bright yellow two story home came into full view. Time seemed to stand still as they waited at the front door with arms full of luggage. Effie A. Denton bounded down the stairs, toddlers in each arm. As she swung the front door open, the babies' faces lit up, giggling and smiling so wide it hurt.
"Hi Mr. Barton. Mrs Barton, you're home earlier than expected!" she exclaimed with a smile.
"The trip took longer than we expected" Clint smiled, setting down the luggage, and taking one of toddlers out of her teenage arms. Natasha did the same. The baby in his arms squealed as he wiggled a finger, tickling her petite side. He knew she hated being called Mrs. Barton, and her slightly annoyed expression tickled him. She pinched the back of his arm when Effie turned her back to them. The teen turned, gathering up a few of her things in her arms, and stood watching them for a moment. Natasha elbowed Clint in the rib, nodding towards her. He begrudgingly set the child down and dug into his back pocket. He fished out an old weathered wallet, and opened the flaps. Grabbing the $100 bill out of it, he extended his hand slowly to her. She snatched the money and ran out the door, yelling a quick 'thanks, before disappearing down the street.
Darcy and Daniel, twins aged 4, lay in their cribs sleeping. Natasha stood in the doorway, a faint smile flashed across her face. The nightlight flickered subtly, and after a moment she felt the strong arms of her husband snake around her waist. He kissed her shoulder softly, repeatedly, and smiled as she exhaled heavily. They stepped quietly down the hall, towards their bedroom, suppressing their conversation until the bedroom door was safely shut.
"Its nice to be a happy little family again" Clint remarked, undoing his tie and slipping it off over his head.
"It sure is"
Natasha smiled and let the loose sundress fall off her body. Her husband had quickly undressed and was behind her, as he was only minutes ago in their children's doorway.
"What do you say we try to expand the family" He smirked. She turned around and smiled.
"I think that's an excellent idea"
The sound of glass breaking and children screaming interrupted the intimate moment.
"Clint. Suit up." She barked, sprinting out of the bedroom.
