A/N: So this story is going to be Jori at first, but I swear on Liz's life that it will be Bade eventually!
"Hey Diddle Diddle." My girlfriend of two years comes up behind me, wrapping her arms around me and resting her head on my shoulder. I give her a sweet peck on the cheek, "Hey babe. How are you?"
She turns to look at me, her lips tugging upwards into a playful grin, "Well, now I'm great."
"Tone down the PDA a little, muchachas!" Andre jokes, offering the both of us a warm smile. He rolls his eyes when he catches me pressing my lips to Tori's cheek again, quickly pulling away to flash him a tiny smirk. "I don't think so."
I gently pry Tori's arms off me, gesturing towards the empty spot between me and CatandRobbie, who are currently sitting painfully close together at their side of the table, both blushing and staring at their plates. She takes the hint, plopping down on the bench beside me and immediately taking a French fry from my plate, tossing into in the air and catching it in her mouth. "So..." I trail off, grabbing her hand as I glance around the table at each member of our close-knitted group of friends, "One year left until graduation."
The silence that follows is downright painful, and is only broken by the obnoxiously loud roaring of an engine. I look up from the table to see a silver SUV pull up into the parking lot behind the cafetaria, door swinging open to reveal a tall, tan-skinned boy. He seems to be about the same age as me and the rest of the gang, and even from this distance I can tell he's ridiculously good-looking. I don't remember having seen him before. Weird, I think I would've noticed someone like him in the hallways-
"Beck!" Andre calls out excitedly as the boy - Beck, apparently - enters the gates to the school terrain, putting his coffee cup down and gesturing for him to come over, "come meet my friends."
I release Tori's hand just as he reaches the table, smiling sexily and holding out my hand for him to shake. His handshake is firm and his hand is surprisingly warm. nice. "Jade," I say. I don't even have to look at Tori to know she's glaring at me.
"Beck. I'm new at this school," he returns. He looks like something out of a shampoo advertising campaign the way the summer breeze ruffles his hair, and his eyes are a mezmerizing chocolate you could easily get lost in. I wonder if he'd be up for-
"I'm Tori. Jade's girlfriend. We were just about to go... over there," she says, pointing towards the main entrance, "Right, babe?" She shoots me a pointed look that makes my heart flutter.
"Totally."
"But what's over there? Cat asks confusedly, chin in the palm of her hands.
"The-"
"-Nurse. I need to see the nurse. My stomach hurts like crazy," I butt in, clutching my stomach to emphasize my point, "Right? Yes. Let's go!" I grab Tori's arm with one hand and my unfinished lunch in the other and lead her away from the table, ignoring the puzzled looks from our friends and Beck.
Once the door closes behind us and, I turn to her, letting go of her hand so I can cross my arms beneath my chest. "What do you think you're doing?"
"What do you think you're doing flirting with that guy?!"
