Natalie glanced up at Michael. Once again, the archangel had cornered her in the coffee shop where Gabriel apparently worked, and was pleading with her to break the contract.
"You're an asshat, you know? And you're bugging me."
"Look, Ginger Snap, this is going to be pretty boring if I have to repeat myself. I'm not going to give up on this."
"Not even for a short time if I make it worth your while?" She flicked through the pictures on her phone and pulled a small envelope out of her pocket.
"I came prepared for this. You know how he can change shape, yeah? And I can order him to do so?"
Michael frowned before she slid her phone across. A small toddler was glaring up at the camera.
A rather familiar toddler.
"Oh my Dad, that is ...that's just precious. Really. Oh, I have to...I can't breathe..." he giggled, before Natalie waved the envelope at him.
"I have prints. Now, you stop asking me for a week and bugging me and stuff, and these are yours. All twenty of them."
Michael rubbed his hands together and grinned. "It's a deal."
This was absolutely adorable. He had to show Gabe these.
