Invincible

Disclaimer: I do not own the character's in the story!
Author's Note: Invincible is the title of the song by Jesse McCartney (Yeah, I know corny, but the songs great.).
Teal eyes cast a sidelong glance at the pedestrians strewn across the pathway ahead of her. Rain. Thunder. What more could a lost soul hope for. Hood up and the iPod playing one song came on that would help the person cast her sorrow aside for a little while.
I said don't do it
babe September 1st, 2003
Said it ain't worth it babe
But you did it anyway
Four
or five drinks and you were on your way
It
took the life right out of me
Hung up the phone
And raced out
the door
Broken
I tried to believe that it wasn't true
But
in my heart I always knew
That being the life of the party would
catch up to you
Your family was waiting and crying for three damn
hours
She was broken. She
felt broken as she sat in the car listening to the lyrics of the
song. Although the lyrics of the song didn't pertain clearly to
the person in mind, she had felt "invincible," but what did the
other think of them. I said don't do it babe Every time I'm home I pass that road
Said it
ain't worth it babe
But you did it anyway
Four or five drinks
and you were on your way
Everythings cool on the straight away
But
you took that turn doing eighty-five in a thirty-five
Why
babe?
Driving alone
and the street feels cold
Seeing your face yeah it's haunting
me
My mind goes crazy tryin' to figure out
Just where you'd be
four years from now
And what you were thinking when the lights
came down
Doctors were trying to save you for three damn hours
Who would believe her
to be broken inside. It had been almost two years since she lost
contact with the one person she ever truly fell in love with.
Michiru… I said don't do it babe Who
ever said that life was fair I
said don't do it babe I said don't do it babe
Said it ain't worth
it babe
But you did it anyway
Four or five drinks and you were
on your way
Everythings cool on the straight away
But you took
that turn doing eighty-five in a thirty-five
Why babe?
When you live without a care
When
you're invincible
When you're invincible
When you're
invincible
Who thinks about leaving when you're livin'
Said it ain't worth it babe
But you did
it anyway
Four or five drinks and you were on your way
Everythings
cool on the straight away
But you took that turn doing eighty-five
in a thirty-five
Said it ain't
worth it babe
But you did it anyway
Four or five drinks and you
were on your way...
The song ended and the teal eyed person closed her eyes as her heart began to ache, but she fought back the tears she was never one to cry. She never cried, and she made sure she never would. She promised that day that she would never cry again. Stepping out of the car, she looked up into the cloud filled sky with dry eyes and a somber expression.
"Ruka…?" Asked a voice behind her.
Turning Haruka looked at the person behind her and wished for everything…
