*Starling City-The Glades*-March 1990
A typical alley in the Glades, there were a couple of garbage can on the sides, there was a smell of piss in the air.
Actually bar that it's not a typical alley as there is no shady business going on, no drug deals, no women selling their bodies, no one being forced to choose between their life or their money, a not so typical alley in the Glades.
All of sudden the back of the alley suddenly lit up with a bright green light, once the light faded there stood a beautiful, ashen-haired women clutching a bundle in her arms.
"Looks like the same shithole."
Her bright green eyes look at her surroundings, "See I told you, Hunter I knew I would be able to get us there in one piece."
When the ashen-haired women looked down at the baby wrapped in a blanket with the name Hunter sawn onto it, she couldn't stop the small chuckle from escaping her mouth, as she Hunter was fast asleep, how could her son sleep throughout all the chaos they had just gone through she would never know.
Hunter, had gained none of her features, apart her haunting green eyes, the rest of his appearance could be credited to his father, she knew because of this her son was going to be a looker, though she prayed that her son didn't pick up his monster slaying grandfather or his lute playing uncle habits involving the fairer sex.
The small smile left the women to face instead, there was a look an of pain and doubt came upon her face, "...Urrg what am I worried about knowing your dad, he's most likely smelt us by know, and is on his way."
But the small voice in her head was screaming at her not to do what she was about to do, 'What choice do I have, I can't take a six-month young baby to battle if I can't defend myself how do I expect to keep Hunter alive.'
"Yen has given me a small window of time to hide from the Wild Hunt, I must hide Hunter."
The women stopped talking to herself and look down at her child, her morphs into one in doubt and concern.
"Alright Little Wolf, mummy will be right back she has to stop the bad people from coming after us, thankfully your grandfather is keeping them distracted, I promise I'll be right back and I will never ever leave again."
As the ashen-haired women set her baby down in his thick blanket, she had unclasped her wolf pendant and placed it near her child.
"I promise little wolf I'll only be gone for a few minutes, I think I remember your Father calling it Fabletown, I'm pretty sure your Father has probably smelt us by now and is on his way.
She leans down to kiss the forehead of her still sleeping son, "See you soon my Little Wolf."
With the same bright flash, she disappeared, never realising her mistake.
An hour had passed since the little baby was left alone, the baby began to stir either out of hunger or the lack warmth his mother normally provides, doing what a baby can only do in this situation he began to cry at the top of his lungs, for five minutes he screamed.
Yet no one came, people were avoiding the alley or ignoring his screams.
He waited till he felt himself being lifted up, by slight calloused warm hands, his light green eyes peered at the dark blue, "Hello little one, what are you doing here, by yourself?"
The man looked down at Hunter, with a questioning gaze, "Has this what the people of the Glades have come down to, leaving a baby in alone on the streets, is this how far the city has gone."
The man was Robert Queen, practically royalty to Starling.
Hunter reached for the man's face with his chubby hands, bring back Roberts attention to him, "What do I do with you? I could take contact children services, you're young they'll find you a home, but this is the Glades, that wouldn't always be a good thing."
Robert picked the pendant near where the child was laying down, he incepted to see a roaring wolf with ruby red eyes, "Odd trinket."
Robert pocketed the pendant and turned around to leave the alley with the child, however he stopped in his tracks when he saw a thin man, in ragged clothes with bloodshot eyes, however, he Robert didn't stop because of the man, but because of what he was holding, a knife pointed towards Robert and Hunter.
"J-ju-just give m-me all your money, and you can leave."
Robert not wanting to risk the life of the child in his arms, he raises his free hand in the air, "Okay, okay just let me put the kid down."
Robert moves to place Hunter behind him, but the man looks angered, "So you can reach for your weapon I don't think so."
The man takes an aggressive step towards them, but Robert doesn't back down, "I just don't want the kid to get hurt.
Robert once again tries to place Hunter behind them, but this still angers the man, "I don't think so you Fucker!"
The man poorly lunges toward the man and child, Robert seeing this tries to shield Hunter with his body.
What the two men didn't notice during the conflict was that Hunter was staring intently at Robert, so when Robert face morphed into one of distress and he tried to cover Hunter while closing his eyes, he didn't see the faint glow around the child.
"WHAT THE FUCK!"
Robert looked in alarm wondering why the man hasn't attacked them yet, only to be shocked as well judging by the face of the man.
The man was staring at Robert in fear, as Robert finally realised what had occurred, Robert and Hunter somehow without moving a muscle have ended up on the other side of the alley, in which is at least 10 feet away from where they were original.
The man ran, losing all bravado in fear of Robert or Hunter he wasn't sure which, 'What the hell is going on!'
Robert looked down at the child in fear, something was defiantly not normal about this child, Robert looked down at the child expecting him to suddenly turn into a demon or monster, but he continued to look at the child, 'he's just a child' he was about 4 or 5 years younger than his son, just as innocent as his son.
Robert has heard stories of all kinds of different people with abilities around the world, he pawned them off as fairy tales or people telling tales to be the centre of attention.
'Maybe they're true, maybe this child had an ability, but that didn't mean that this child was evil, just different.'
Robert brought Hunter directly in front of his face, as he did Hunter reached his hands forward to pet Robert's head, in an almost calming way.
"Yeah, I'm defiantly going crazy."
Robert peered at the bright green eyes, 'Maybe he could be a second chance for me and Moira', "Come on then little guy, let's introduce you to your new family".
*Starling Hospital*-January 1995
Outside a delivery room, there sat two boys, at the ages of five and ten, the younger of the two, had tanned skin, dark brown hair, with the brightest green, whilst the older of them had blond hair, with pale skin, the boys held no resemblance to each other what's so ever.
"Ollie, why is mother screaming so much is someone hurting her?"
The younger of the two asked the boy next to him with tears in his eyes, "No one is hurting her, Hunt doesn't worry, she is, I'm mean, she has to... she is giving..."
Oliver had a hard time explaining to his brother, their mother was giving birth, sure Hunter knew that they were going to a have a brother or sister, that was in their mother.
But how was Oliver supposed to explain the process of giving birth, when he barely knew it himself.
They both heard a door being opened, "Boys."
The two brothers brought their attention towards the door of the privet delivery room, they saw their father standing in the doorway, with the biggest smile on his face the boys have ever seen.
"Do you want to meet your little sister."
Needing no further prompting the brothers, rushed towards the room.
There they saw their mother laying down on a bed looking worn out, with a baby held in her hands.
As she stared down at the said baby, she looked up when she heard the sounds footsteps, she saw her son's standing at the foot of her bed, "Oliver, Hunter, come and meet your sister."
The brothers shuffled closer to their mother, Moira stared at her son's face to gauge their thoughts on their sister, she saw Oliver, had a smile on his face, the same smile, when Robert had brought Hunter home for the first time.
Speaking of Hunter she had turned towards him, to see the look of wonderment on his face, as if his sister is the strangest thing he has ever seen.
Robert, seeing this also approached his youngest son, "What do you think of your sister Hunt?", Hunter gestured for Robert to crouch down to his level, as Hunter started to 'whisper' in Robert's ear, "Why does she look like a potato?".
Moira could only shake her head to stop laugh coming out of her mouth, "Ouch, what the heck, Ollie?"
"Idiot, don't say that about our sister."
"Well sorry, but every baby I've seen look normal, she doesn't."
"Oh yeah how many babies have you seen, then?"
"Two!"
"So does that mean you've seen every baby ever."
"How many babies have you seen, that look like her?".
As the brothers were bickering with each other, Robert stood beside his wife, "Do you remember when these two got along?"
"Yes, it was before Hunter could talk."
Moira said with a fond smile on her face, looking down her newborn daughter she, couldn't help but remember the day her husband had brought Hunter in their lives.
When her husband had brought the young baby into their home, she had naturally assumed the worst and believed that the child was the illegitimate child of her husband.
Robert had to calm her down and explain the situation, of how he was scouting possible places in the Glades to open up a factory, and how as he was walking back to his car, he had heard a baby crying, and when he went to go and investigate he had found Hunter.
Moira also believed that Robert wasn't telling her something, something important, probably the reason why Robert wanted to adopt the boy.
Moira wanted to further probe Robert of the information, however, she was interrupted by her son, being introduced to the young baby.
A couple of days after Robert brought home Hunter, Moira had kept her distance from the child, as she tried to keep Oliver away as well, but much to her dismay, little Oliver had grown quickly attached to the boy.
Over the years of Hunter being in their home, slowly but surely the little boy had endeared his way into her heart, as she came to begrudgingly admit that she has come to love the child over the years, he spent with the family.
Now Moira is ashamed of how distant she acted towards Hunter, she is also ashamed of the fact this is not Robert child she is holding in her hands, and she has no plan on telling him this.
Moira refused to destroy her family, she and Robert may have their problems, but she will not hurt her children.
*Queen's Mansion*- October 10, 1999
"Happy Birthday Hunter!" shouted a small group of people.
"Oh my god, I'm so shocked."
Robert looked amused, "Thea told you."
"Without any prompting."
"No, I did not!" Thea Queen pouted, as Hunter walked towards to his sister he ruffled her hair.
"Did too, Speedy." Thea pushed her brother's hand away.
Moira approached her son, and wrapped her son in a hug, "I can't believe, my baby boy is already 10, it feels like yesterday when you were taking your first steps, and now look at you are becoming such a handsome young man."
"Mother! Stop it."
Hunter squirmed out of his mother's hug as she chuckled, Hunter noticed the group was missing one person.
"Where's Oliver?"
"I've been trying to reach him, I'm sorry Hunter, I can't get a hold of him." Robert seemed genuinely sorry.
"*Grunt* I don't care." Hunter turned away from his father as his parents frowned.
Growing Oliver and Hunter were practically joined at the hip, heck Oliver would always bring him along when he visited Tommy or Laurel.
However this all changed when Hunter was pushed to move up in his classes by two years, Hunter wasn't a super genius, but he proved he was a lot more attentive than any child his age should be.
While Hunter was praised for his classwork, Oliver was critiqued.
Oliver started to act, just to get some sort of attention from his parents, however when he got it, it only further frustrated him, as they would compare him, to his younger brother.
When Oliver was frustrated he would take it out onto his parents, in which it would frustrate and infuriate Hunter, and the boys would end up fighting sometimes with words, sometimes with fists.
Even with all the fights and hurtful words, the boys still had their moments of brotherly love for each other, Hunter would still cover for Oliver if their parents asked him.
And Oliver still had his older brother moments, as one day at school, Oliver found out that one of the boys from Oliver's class was bullying Hunter, the kid couldn't react fast enough as Oliver's fist come crashing onto his face.
It was near midnight by the time Oliver got stumbled in clearly drunk off his face, if you were just going by the smell Oliver reeked of.
"Hunter, sweetheart could you please take Thea to bed, she seems very sleepy."
"Sure mother."
Hunter went to reach for Thea as she sleepily protested, "No I'm not tired, and you said I could stay up for Hunt's birthday."
"Oh yeah it's Lil Wolfy birthday... here have a beer."
Oliver reached for one of the beers on hand to pass to his brother, however before he could reach the used up 6 pack, was snatched from his hands by their father.
"Come Speedy." Hunter picks up Thea, and dramatically cups his hand around her ear, "We can eat the rest of cake."
Before their mother could protest Hunter grab the remains of the cake, and ran towards the stairs.
Hunter ran into Thea room, while she was giggling all the up, he drops her on her bed as he also placed the cake on the bed, and then he joined her.
The two tucked into the cake in relative silence, before Thea spoke up, "Hunt, do you hate Ollie?"
Hunter choked on the bite of cake, he turned to his sister, "Why would you think that Speedy?"
"Cause, you and Ollie always fight each other more than you two get along." Thea seemed really upset.
"Thea, me and Ollie care about each other, but Ollie is always wrong, and he's always acting like an ass."
"Ollie said that you are always wrong, as well."
Hunter didn't know how to retort, "Yeah well... he's a liar." he finished lamely.
"He said that too."
"Okay for that, I'm going to eat all the cake."
Hunter reached for the remainder of the cake before he was suddenly pushed off the bed, "Nope, mine!"
Hunter stood up with an eerier smile on his face, "That's not very little sister." Hunter dove towards Thea, seeing this she threw the remains of the cake at him in hopes that it would slow him down, all she managed to do was cover him in the cake, in which he did not slow down.
Hunter managed to grab, and he started to tickle her mercilessly, "Hunt *Laughter* please... *Laughter* stop it..."
"I think she has had enough, Hunter."
"Moth... *Laughter* help."
"Okay, okay fine but this isn't over Speedy."
Instead of responding she stuck out her tongue at him, Hunter towards the exit in which Moira was standing, "Look at you both, covered in cake! Young lady we'll clean this mess right now."
"Aww, do we have to right now."
Hunter ducked through the doors before she could start to scold him as well.
Hunter was going towards his room as he walked past Oliver's, Hunter knew what to expect, as this wasn't the first time Oliver came home drunk, just the first time he has been caught, as Hunter didn't have the chance to cover for him.
Hunter entered his room and went towards the mini fridge, to grab a bottle of water, then he made his way to his brother room, as Hunter opened the door, he could hear Oliver dry heaving in on sweet bathroom, Hunter made his way towards Oliver bedside table and placed the bottle on top of it, he then made his way to leave.
However before he could leave, he had heard Oliver flush the toilet and walk out of the bathroom, going against his better judgement, Hunter decided to speak, "I left you a bottle of water, be sure to drink it all."
"*Laughter* Typical Hunter, being a goody little two shoes."
Hunter turned towards Oliver, and he walks towards him, "And what's that supposed to mean."
"It means that no matter what I do, everything is all about you!" Oliver strides forward.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise I had to become a failure like you. Gee, I wonder why Mother and Father aren't proud of you?"
Hunter and Oliver, over the years, have said some pretty hurtful things in their lives to each other, but even they have had their lines they wouldn't cross in their right of mind, but Oliver as this moment is not in the right of mind.
"At least I know who my real parents are."
If Oliver was sober, he would've noticed that Hunter's normally neon green eyes, briefly flashed amber, "What the fuck did you say!?"
"You're nothing but a stray that..." Oliver didn't get to finish as he saw Hunter cock back his already formed fist, seeing the obviously displayed punch Oliver went to block with the left arm, Oliver feeling smug, with his build, he was always used to beating his little brother, in all of their fights.
Oliver wasn't expecting the sharp pain he felt when Hunter's fist made contact with his arm, however, he didn't have time to process it for long, as he launched backwards his head smashing against the wall behind him, effectively knocking him out.
"*Heavy Breathing*... Ollie, Oliver! Come wake up, WAKE UP!"
"Hunter what's wrong?"
"Dad, me and Oliver, we had and... and..." Robert looks past Hunter to see Oliver Knocked out, Robert rushes past Hunter and gently picks up Oliver.
"Come on, Hunter!"
*Starling Hospital*
Hunter was sitting outside the room Oliver was assigned to, he was hunched over, with hands in the face he refused to look up, he heard someone sigh and sit down next to him.
Hunter after a moment of silence, he looked up, "How is he?"
Robert looked over his youngest son, he was about to get ready to chew him out, but he couldn't with the look of fear and guilt on his face, "His left arm is broken, and he has a concussion, there is a chance he won't remember any of this."
Hunter's look of guilt only increased, "Hunter what happened? I thought the mediation was helping with, well you know..." Robert looked around to see if anybody was close by, seeing no one he looks back to Hunter, "your abilities."
"I don't know dad. I don't know. Ollie said something, I can't even remember now, but I know I was really angry, angrier than I have ever been in my entire life, and than I saw nothing but red and Ollie was than knocked out."
"Fuck, what a mess." Robert himself hunched over "Hunter, we need you to control your abilities, so something like this doesn't happen again, maybe we can..."
"No!"
"'No', what do you mean by 'No'".
"No, I won't use these abilities, what good are they? I hurt someone I care about, I don't want these abilities."
"Hunter just because you don't want them, doesn't mean they'll go away."
"It doesn't matter I won't use, I refused to use for anything, that's a promise."
*Queen's Gambit Dock*- 2007
"Where's your brother?"
Hunter was brought his attention away from his book, to see his father standing beside him, at the age of 18, Hunter stood at 6 foot, broad shoulders, with but average build.
"I think I saw him and Laurel at the docks, saying goodbye. You know how they get, kind of gross actually."
"*Chuckling* You won't be saying if you found yourself a girl of your own."
"*Snort* I don't have time for that headache right now."
Oliver joins them, with a goofy smile on his face as he walks towards, "Alright Pops, little brother, let's get going!"
Hunter and Robert share a look, "You're up to something."
"What do you want?"
"Do you know what? I'm actually offended, I don't want to look at either of you for a while, I'm going to my room, good day!"
Oliver ran towards the direction where the rooms were located, "*Sigh* I don't care what he's up to, but I am not cleaning up his mess."
"You know, brothers should always look out for each other."
"Dad I don't know what to tell you, I have no idea what would it take for us to work together."
A/N
So, this idea has been in my head for a while, I wanted to write an OC for Arrow for some time now, the story will mainly be centred around Hunter following the events of Arrow, but he won't be taking Oliver's place in the story, he'll affect it with his presence, and have his problems to deal with.
This story is also a slight crossover with, The Witcher, and Fables comic series, (The Wolf Among Us), I'm not going pretend that I am an expert in the Witcher series.
Hunter is the son of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, and Bigby Wolf, it doesn't mean Hunter will inherit all of their powers and abilities.
Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon
Abilities and Skills- Elder blood gene: The ability to travel through time and across different planes of existence.
Blink: An ability to Ciri, its something like quick teleportation that allows her to teleport behind her attackers one by one and attack them.
Swordsmanship: Saying Ciri is skilled with a sword is a simplification.
Regeneration of health.
Bigby Wolf
Actual form is a wolf of giant proportions, but he has the ability to take on human form, even in human form he still has his enhanced sense of smell.
Incredible strength
He has also inherited numerous powers from his father, the North Wind, included the ability to blow with the forces of a hurricane.
A strong willpower, because of his enhanced sense of smell, he has to on daily bases filter out millions of scents and smells.
