December 31st 1915

Roy Mustang stood outside his dormitory watching the fireworks that were being set off by the military. It was the usual tradition in Central. All of the military would put some money into a pot and the Fuhrer would purchase fireworks and foods for all the military and the state alchemists. It was popular which is why it was always continued every year.

Roy smiled as he watched a firework exploding. He thought about the year he had had and hoped that the following year would somehow be better. Not that things had been that bad. Just...confusing. He had made a discovery that he was having feelings for the FullMetal Alchemist Edward Elric. It had come to a shock. Especially since he was 30 and the Ed was only 16. He knew it was wrong but he couldn't help how he felt. He just wished that Ed felt the same towards him. But he knew he wouldn't. Ed hated him. He knew that by the way he always addressed him.

He his thoughts went to the blonde Alchemist as another firework was set off. He didn't hear the person coming behind him calling his name. "Colonel Mustang?" the voice called. Roy was snapped out of it when he felt someone's arm touch his. He turned out to find the FullMetal Alchemists standing there grinning at him.

"You OK Roy? You seem out of it" Roy was shocked. He hadn't heard Ed call him 'Roy' in a long time and he could feel his stomach jumping at the sound of it. Roy just nodded the reply and had gotten a weird look from Edward.

"So what's gonna be your New Year's Resolution?"

Roy hadn't thought of that. He just wanted to get 1915 over with and get into 1916. He looked down at the Alchemist and shrugged "Not going to make any"

"Why not?"

"I'm too old for that sort of thing"

"You're only 30" Not bad looking for a 30 year old Ed thought to himself. He couldn't help but take a quick look at Roy's body as he said that. He smiled to himself. Lately he had discovered that he was in love with the 30 year old Colonel. It was wrong, but he didn't care. He wanted to be with the Colonel and he was going to have it that way.

"Precisely"

"Aww come on Roy. Everyone makes a resolution"

"Oh I don't know Ed"

"Mine's to have you" Ed told him confidently. He was sick of watching the Colonel. He wanted him and tonight he was going to make that happen. He was of legal age and in two weeks he was going to be 17 and would be able to do what he wanted.

"Excuse me?" Roy thought he had misheard what Ed had said. He wanted him? He wished that had heard what he thought he had heard. He wanted Ed to want him. He wanted Ed.

"You heard me. I want you" Ed pushed himself against the Colonel and lowered Roy's head to his level and placed a rough inexperienced kiss upon Roy's perfect mouth. Roy couldn't believe what was happening to him. All of his dreams were coming true. The young blonde was kissing him. He kissed back putting his hand on the back of Ed's kiss and showed him how a proper kiss was going.

After a few heated moments, Ed pulled apart and smiled. "What was that for?" Roy asked him

"I love you Roy Mustang"

"I love you too Edward Elric" Roy admitted, wrapping his arms around the boy's waist and pulling him into himself carefully, pressing his now hardening member into Ed's stomach. Ed moaned in pleasure.

"Happy New Year Colonel"

"Happy New Year FullMetal" Roy replied as he pulled his lover into another kiss as the cheers from the crowd erupted when the New Year kicked in.

Roy and Ed didn't apart for a while.

Both they had what they wanted for the New Year.
