WILD LION

A/N: This is a short poem that is quite different and strange but I couldn't help myself. Please tell me what you think!

The ripple of the water awakens me

I look to see where; I am a lion it seems

I have large paws, soft and lame

I must be a great big lion now tame

How did I come to be here tonight?

What is in the distance burning, firelight?

Slowly I make my way towards the heat

Cautious of my shape, I have to be discreet

Soon I reach where I want to be

By the fire a place to rest my body

But I see that I am no longer lonely

Something stands before me, a beauty

'Who are you' only a roar escapes my clutches

A change surrounds my soul, I make guesses

Of whom this mystic woman could be

'Now great lion I have a decree'

She speaks, dear sweet melodies all around

Yet a feeling of dread rises, deathly icebound

'To stay a lion' she whispers almost cunningly

Her voice it's familiar, I feel my way to her, blindly

'Stay there lion' no I shall not no more will she change

Move, change, and leave me to somewhere unexplained

'Change me back' I roar 'it is a crime what you do'

To go and leave, no letter, no word, it's true

I am sorry, I think, for what I did Gin

Whatever was is now in the past, its been

She raises her hand to cry the curse

I know she's done this before, all rehearsed

'I wish I could change, Draco, but I can't'

The words are said and suddenly the world is on a slant

Too soon I had loved a girl, bold and young

Never knew how much this love could have stung

She wasn't always like this, she has changed

Her body, spirit, mind and soul all in exchange

For power. I am glad it's over now forever

My lost love for this dark, tempting liquid amber

She may think she has changed, with power

But the worlds has, all around her

She has not changed, only forgotten

That the only change was the world

Around her, tricking her into thinking

That she is the one with metaphoric powers...
