. Wishful Thinking

She laughs at my dreams,

But I dream about her laughter.

Strange as it seems,

She's the one I'm after

He was watching her again, he couldn't help it really; she was beautiful to say the very least. Her shoulder length silverly-blonde hair that framed her heart shaped face. Her pale grey eyes that were framed with long blonde eyelashes. That adorable dimple on her right cheek, that could be seen whenever she smiled, or bit at her lower lip - a nervous habit of hers.

She had milkly white skin, unblemished by freckles or moles. And although she didn't quite have the high cheek bones her mother and younger sister, Dominique, had, she still the ability to stop a man in his track with just one look. She was petite, nearly five foot two, and was probably not going to get any taller.

An elbow into his stomach interrupted his internal monologue, "Oi! Lupin would you mind, not ogling my little sister during breakfast? You see it's sort of nauseating for the rest of us to see that love sick puppy dog look on your face while we're trying to enjoy our delightful crepes and pumpkin juice." The group around Louis Weasley laughs as Ted Remus Lupin rolls his eyes, a slight pink tinge to his cheeks.

Teddy pokes at strawberries that sat atop his crepes on the plate, scowling at his breakfast for being caught again staring at Victorie Weasley. Louis laughs merrily, patting his friend roughly on the back, "No need to get all - Woe is me! She'll never love me! - don't worry one day she'll realize what a good chap you are, and dump that trash she's with now!"

The said trash, had his arm currently wrapped around the waist of the middle child of Bill Wealsey and Fleur Delacour, grinning as he bragged to his friends of his recent victory in Quidditch - catching the golden snitch thirty minutes after it had been released. Victorie laughs, her laugh like tiny silver bells, at something her boyfriend, Zachariah Pucey, has just said and Teddy feels angry butterflies fluttering in his stomach.

He hates feeling so jealous, especially of some bloody fourth year. But he couldn't help but glare at the brunette who was known for dating some of the best looking birds in the entire school, and now had his arm around the Helen of Troy of them all. She had inherited her mother's spectacular looks, and her father's charming personality.

He remembered long ago, when his parents and him came to visit the Burrow, and she would run to come and greet him. Her hair wild from running, her eyes wide and sparkling, and she would grab his hand and tug him along to go play with her and her cousins outside, "Look, look, my Teddy came to play with us today!"

And now...now he was lucky if she even smiled his way. But he could hope for more, right? He could hope that one day she would see him in a different view. He turned to face his friend, with a small smile, "At least for now, I have my wishful thinking, aye?"
