A rainy day usually was something that didn't ruin a day too thoroughly, but in this case it did. While Tomo had certainly tried, beach front activities were not very possible during a storm and so, when given the choice between doing homework and doing nothing, most of the girls chose nothing.

"Hey!"

While it was hard telling who the resident hyper girl was calling out for with that shout as she raised her head from the nearest table (where she sat with Osaka and Kagura, each in the midst of the same activity), Tomo soon made it clear when she rushed over in front of the resident teachers. "You two knew each other as kids, didn't ya?"

A little hesitation there, but it was Nyamo who ultimately nodded and said, "Yes. Why do you ask?"

"Well, what were ya like?"

That lead to the nearby Yomi to raise from her textbook in the floor nearby to say, "I think I can form an idea. . ."

"Oh, shush, Yomi!" After waving dismissively, Tomo then said, "Come on, tell us!"

"Heh, let's see. . ." Yukari speaking now, a finger to her chin as she pondered it. Then she exclaimed, "Well, if you must know, Nyamo was always the boring time. Study, sports, study, sports, study, sports. . . Heh, of course, clearly all of that studying didn't help her much. . ."

While comments like that usually angered Nyamo, she settled for simply biting her lip and crossing her arms for a moment. As more girls gathered to watch this scene play out - all but Osaka, in fact, as she was too busy sleeping - the gym teacher gave a proper response, "Well, what about you? All you ever did was figure out whose things you could break each day."

"It does figure she'd be destructive --"

"Quiet!" That got Kagura to shut up, as Yukari stopped to inhale and exhale twice. Afterward, she said, "At least I knew how to have fun! You were always so boring that I would have probably had more fun watching paint dry."

"As if you have the attention span for it. . ."

"What was that?"

"You heard me!" The gym teacher smirked then, shrugging as she turned to the gathered group of high-schoolers and said, "Heh, of course, you can see what she was like as a kid. She never grew up, after all."

That led to a scoff followed by laughter, Yukari countering that point by saying, "Never grew up? I'm the one who teaches a foreign language - something important and valuable. You teach sports. If you can call it teaching - it's really just an excuse for a stupid girl to run around and blow a whistle and call it 'physical education'." The last two words were said in a mocking tone, Yukari waving her hands about as she said it.

"Oh, really?"

The urge to blow her whistle right now just to irritate Yukari was tempting, but with other girls on hand watching this play out Nyamo resisted. Instead, she simply said, "If I never grew up, why do I live alone and have my own car? You're still living off your parents."

"I happen to have a strong sense of family, for your information!"
