Murdock and Amy sat in the small cabin. Amy was writing up some notes, while Murdock sat pondering over a newspaper's crossword. She knew he was doing the puzzles because every now and then he'd asked to borrow her pen, until finally she'd gotten another out of her bag.
"Here's one for you, describe each member of the team in five adjectives, or more."
Amy looked up and smiled. "It doesn't say that."
"Yeah, I know. But I'm bored with the puzzle, thought I'd test you instead." He grinned. "Being good with words and everything."
Amy glanced out the window, watching Hannibal and Face talk, while BA was working on the van.
"I've got how many adjectives?"
"Five to ten."
"On each of them?"
"Yeah, including me."
Amy rolled her eyes, and then she concentrated, studying Hannibal. Finally she nodded. "Okay, Hannibal in five words; he's cunning, intelligent, focussed, bold and patriotic."
"He's always on the damn jazz, you mean?"
Amy chuckled, nodding.
"What about Faceman?"
"Face..." Well, without saying the obvious, handsome, sexy. She coughed. Concentrate. "Complicated." Murdock raised an eyebrow. "Well, he is." Murdock frowned then nodded. "Witty... Fashionable, err... Charismatic, yet roguish."
Murdock chuckled. "Don't let him hear you say that."
"Don't you tell him!"
"Okay, okay, what about the Big Guy?"
Amy chewed on her pen, screwing her eyes up with concentration. "Mmm... he's definitely powerful."
"Uh, huh," Murdock confirmed, nodding.
"Skilled, confident, moral... And he's caring."
"Caring? BA?"
"Oh, Murdock, you know as well as I do he's a big softy really."
"So, what about me?" He grinned at her, leaning closer towards her.
Amy sighed, shaking her head. "Do I have to?"
"Yeah, and then I'll describe you."
"Oh, okay. You're..." Amy paused, thinking again, making sure she chose her words correctly, not wanting to offend Murdock. "Funny, clever... Loyal... Qualified..."
"Qualified?"
"As in to fly a plane, helicopter, practically anything with wings."
"Oh, yeah, see what you mean." Murdock smiled.
"But you're also..." Amy cringed, "crazy."
"Of course I am! I thought that would have been the first word you'd have used."
Amy chuckled, relieved at Murdock's reaction.
"And you, Chica, are organised, ambitious, smart, virtuous and gorgeous."
"Oh please!"
"Oh come on, you're a pretty girl."
Amy rolled her eyes, shrugging off his compliment, before she blushed. "Okay, so what about Lynch?"
"Oh that idiotic man was a pointless gullible and incompetent, but persistent pain in the ass."
Amy chuckled, but she soon stopped.
Sirens could be heard in the distance. Amy and Murdock quickly glanced out the window to see Face and Hannibal hurrying into the van. Amy hastily grabbed her bag, slinging her notebook in it.
"Oh crap!"
"And Decker..." Murdock said, grabbing his newspaper and hurrying after Amy, "...well he's also determined, and an awkward, motivated, proficient SOB!"
