She sat there in a pew in the back of the church and watched as the love of her life was about to be forever bonded to another woman. She wanted so badly to scream out the words that were flying around in her head, making her heart ache, and burning her throat. She wanted to yell at him. Run up to the alter, and kiss him. Show him that she was the one he belonged with, not that witch. Why on earth would Beck keep going back to her? She had cheated on him, and broken his heart so many times; and yet he always took her back. Tori could get Beck to do anything for her. He was putty in her devious little hands. It made Cat sick. And as badly as she wanted to remind Beck of all these things, she couldn't.
The preacher's words had taken her out of her thoughts. "Speak now, or forever hold your peace" he said. And Cat couldn't take it anymore. She stood up and looked straight at Beck. "I can't let you do this." she said. A gasp filled the church, but Cat didn't care. Beck gave her a look that asked her what on earth she was doing. "I can't let you marry her." Cat said. "Do you remember those nights where you me called crying, because she cheated on you?" she asked him. "Because I sure as hell do. For days you stayed at my house, crying. And I tried so desperately to make you smile, because you were my best friend and it killed me to see you hurt. But then, oh because she apologized and swore it was never going to happen again, you took her back." she continued her voice becoming shaky. "And do you remember what happened Beck? It DID happen again. Two more times actually. And you STILL took her back. WHY?" Cat screamed. "I was always the one there for you. I was the one who comforted you when you were upset, and rejoiced with you when you were happy. I was the one who was truly so fucking in love with you!" she yelled as tears streamed down her face. "I WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU!" she yelled and with a quick turn on her heel she ran out of the church. She could hear him calling her name, but she didn't care, she just kept running. However, he quickly caught up with her, and grabbing her wrist, he spun her around. "Why didn't you ever tell me?" he asked, his voice soft and soothing. He didn't give her time to answer though, instead he cupped her face with his hand and kissed her.
Suddenly, the sound of clapping filled Cat's ears. At first, it seemed like it was for her and Beck, as if all of these people knew it should be her up there in that white dress about to be married to Mr. Beck Oliver. But then as she looked around, she saw a horrible thing. Beck and Tori were kissing; the people were clapping for them, not her. They were officially married. Cat fought hard to swallow the tears that were now springing to her eyes. Any chance she had of ever getting him to finally be hers crumbled. She watched as the newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Beck Oliver walked out of the church, hand in hand, as husband and wife. She let a single tear roll down her cheek as she realized he would never be hers.
