A Smile in Return
It was around noon and a little boy of six sat on a swing watching the people pass by.
He smiled anyone who noticed him and recieved only glares or a look of fear in return.
The little boy wanted only one thing and it was nothing more simple than to see at least one of his smiles returned.
Through all this the blond wished for nothing more but to see at least one of his smiles returned.
The little boy looked down his bright smile fading and his eyes losing their sparkle as the park emptied... his smile had never been returned.
His mask had fallen leaving the lonely little boy and his feelings in the open.
His eyes revealed a pain so horrible anyone who witnessed it would've thought it impossible.
This small blonde angels eyes held a pain no one should ever feel, His face filled with pain he left the swing and headed for his empty apartment.

The next day, he went to the swing his mask fully inplace.
He did this again and again and again and no one acknowledged him, except a small girl.
She was about his age and watched him day after day smile like nothing was wrong.
She wondered how he got up every day knowing he had no one, no one at all to help stem the pain in his heart.
She kniw sone of his pain after all she was viewed as weak and workhless by her father and her clan.
Her mother, who was the only one who believed in her, had died a year ago giving birth to her sister whom everyone believed even at the agie of one would be worth more than she. She had thought the same until she noticed him, He believed in himself and those around him making everyone who met him believe in themselves and the supposed "impossible".
He was an unstoppable ray of sunshine whom no one acknowledged.
He was Naruto.

Naruto was ecstatic.
Someone had smiled back.
She had large lavender colored eyes and had turned bright red when he smiled at her, but she had smiled back.
