I Wait
By: MysticFireBlood
I sit and wait for his return.
We knew that this day would come where he would have to leave, and we would not know when his return would be, but I still sit and wait for his return.
I miss his warm and caring arms as they wrap around me.
I miss his smile, his laugh, and his lame jokes.
I miss his shimmering hair, his scared eye, and that silly mask.
But still I sit and wait for him.
His students stopped by today to check on me. In the year he's been gone, they have grown so much both physically and emotionally.
As I sit here and wait the wind starts to blow though my hair and tickle my long scare on my nose.
I smell the air and it still smells of lemon and honey, the smell of his hair.
Somehow it is strong and mixed his copper and metal.
Suddenly, warmth overwhelms me. A pair of strong arms wrap around me like a mother holding a child.
"I see you did wait for me," he speaks in my ear.
"As I said I would my beloved scarecrow," I replied as I turn around in his strong embrace.
"As I knew you would my dolphin," his reply was herd though his lips meeting mine.
"How long are you going to be home?" I asked, scared of the answer that lay before me.
"For as long as you will have me" he answered with another kiss.
I am unsure of what tomorrow may bring, but I do know this, if it comes down to it, I will wait for my beloved Kakashi for long as I live.
