A/N: This is a song fic using Martina McBride's song Concrete Angel. It would be a good idea to listen to the song but you don't gotta. Again two character deaths I could do a sequel if you want. Enjoy the story. Peace, Love, and Randomness.
Brianna
Concrete Angel
Lindsay walked out of her front door with her peanut butter and jelly sandwich, hoping no one could tell the bruise Eddie left on her. In last night's drunken rage.
She walks to school with
The lunch she packed nobody
Knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore
Yesterday she hides the bruises
With the linen and lace
She knew her teacher wondered if things were alright at home because of her mother's suspicious death. And Eddie almost going to jail for it.
The teacher wonders but she doesn't
Ask it's hard to see the pain behind
The mask bearing the burden of a
Secret storm sometimes she wishes
She was never born
"Lindsay where the hell have you been?" a drunken Eddie Willows asked his daughter. She knew his was drunk. "School, Daddy." She could tell by the look on his face hi didn't believe her. As she prepared her self for the blow she was sure was coming, Eddie said. "I'm going out. I'll be back later." As he left, a relieved Lindsay let out a sigh.
Through the wind and the rain
she stand hard as a stone in a
World that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings and
She flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete Angel
"Daddy, stop it please." A scared Lindsay screamed. But she knew it was hopeless, she knew this was the end for her. Eddie kept hitting her until she stopped fighting back. Hours later as he looked at her lifeless body, he wondered how he ended up like this. How he managed to kill Catherine and now Lindsay.
Somebody cries in the middle
Of the night the neighbors hear
But they turn out the lights a fragile
Soul caught in the hands of fate when
Morning comes it'll be to late
"Lindsay Willows will be buried next to her mother Catherine, who died two years ago of foul play. The funeral will take place Friday at seven at St. Catherine's church." Gil Grissom finished the story before he broke down in tears. He couldn't save Catherine, but he had hoped he would be able to save Lindsay.
Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone in a
World she can't rise above but
Her dreams give her wings and
She flies to a place where she's
Loved Concrete Angel
All of the night shift crew was in tears as the casket that held little Lindsay Willows was lowered into the ground. Ecklie told Grissom that he would do whatever he had to, to make sure Eddie Willows paid for what he did. It was considerable nice of him, considering he didn't like Grissom much. But even Conrad Ecklie knows love when he sees it and Gil Grissom was in love with Catherine and her little girl.
A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world for got
A few years later
The whole crew gathered at the cemetery to tell Catherine and Lindsay about Nick and Sara's baby girl Katherine Lindsay Stokes. Born on March third. They told her that Eddie had just died in prison and that they wished she and Lindsay were here.
Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone in a
World that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where
She's loved Concrete Angel
