E/O Challenge: crow
Word Count: 100
Warnings/Spoilers: None
Summary: The Impala has some choice words for a feathered foe.
A/N: What a great challenge word! I've always admired and respected the intelligence of crows. My grandpa rescued a crow chick, and I remember it coming to his kitchen window for treats after it grew into adulthood.
Also, be sure to give a little love to the newly posted Chapter 5 of my Titan-publication reject, The White Demon! (Titan is the exclusive publisher of the SPN series of books.) Thanks so much!
The Crow
The crow perched like a black comma on the branch, eying the shiny piece of metal below him. He cocked his head sideways, admiring the gleam of the dawning sun on its silver.
Caw! Caw! Black, and sleek, like me, the crow voiced.
Stay away, the Impala warned. The car bristled, her steel arms embracing the two sleeping boys inside. One of them rustled, his eyes opening slowly. His hand breezed over the gleaming metal of a gun resting on the seat beside him.
Caw! Or what? the crow challenged.
How do you feel about target practice? was the reply.
