The Dark One, a black god of war and eternity, existing outside of any respective universe, but capable of living in or between any he chose. Like any being with a reasonable consciousness and self awareness he grew bored easily, something chasing his own non existent, metaphorical tail wouldnt satisfy.
A god of war and battle, required a good exciting fight, yet he tired of the small quarrels of some of the more superb universes. His power didnt grant him the creativity to create his own armys, but he was fully capable of picking at favourites, spotting and picking and choosing champions from three or four universes, filling them with rage and bloodlust, and leaving them to cull eachother.
He had already stolen a battleground, the so called city of Kandor, picked from the surface of the planet Kryptonite of the so called DC universe.
He would have his fight, the beings of creative potential, symbols of hope and individuals of raw planet destroying power.
He already had a victor, he knew who the superior being was, thus he would be introduced last, he chose only a handful placing them near a populated spot, giving them time to meet an oponant and battle to the death.
From one universe, he chose a so called Jade Giant, the hulk, a being whos power relied on the rage he had installed. The good Captain America, by no means a god but a tactical genius, and a master of his rare metal sheild. The Wolverine a monster in mans skin, with metal bones and animal claws.
From another he picked the Superman, the boy scout of godlike power. The themyscaren queen and representative of the gods, Wonder Woman, and the Batman in his preffered suit of technological prowess, despite the bloodlust he would retain his intellect, it was his greates weapon.
A famous single character from another, the saiyen warrior named Goku, surpassing his limits, and battling gods. A personal favourite.
And finally one more from a seperate universe. A wild card, that didnt surpass limits but didnt actually have any, he would provide a show stopper.
