Authors note: Spoilers, oh wait you probably saw that before jumping in here, though if you clicked past hopefully this will give you a sense of direction for beyond here lies spoilers for what happened in volume 6, and given this is my third attempt at a RWBY fanfic hopefully this time it sticks. You still here? Ok well don't blame me cause I did put it out there plainly as humanly possible, a Faunus would not have so much trouble seeing it. Anyway this picks up upon their arrival at Atlas and things take an interesting turn from there. This is my imagining of what will be but to be safe it will be titled this, so, for Bumblebly shippers, and well any other ship, enjoy.

RWBY VOLUME 6.1

CH.1: Clearing the air

Blake could not believe the events that led them here. The death of Adam still sitting heavily on her chest as she tried to understand how it had come to that; after all…maybe he could have been saved. Blake trembled some thinking on how she and Yang had drove weapons through him, making it quite clear he was killed with no chance of coming back.

Looking down at her hands she could still see the blood from when it had happened. Right now they were set up in one of Atlas's grand waiting rooms as they awaited the arrival of General Ironwood who told them he would meet up.

"Is it common courtesy to keep us waiting?" Maria ventures. She was once known as the Grimm Reaper, a silver eyed huntress much like Ruby was. However her eyes were taken from her and she had disappeared from the world.

"I am sure there is a logical explanation for all this. General Ironwood just probably has some meeting he can't get out of or he is looking for a place to land…" Weiss was trying to be practical about matters and Blake could appreciate it, though, there must be more than that keeping the General.

Blake found hands over hers and she flushed some as she noticed the blonde beside her. Yang Xiao Long, aka the wonderful and beautiful, some would say even ravishing sister of Ruby sat there wearing a comforting smile. "Blake, there was no other way…you have to understand that-."

"I know, but, it was Adam…even if we weren't together anymore he was still a big part of who I was…who I am today. He opened my eyes to all that was happening to the Faunus, and, maybe he could have been swayed-."

"He was going to kill us Blake…and…I don't think he was in the mood to talk lest it was to hear himself." Blake lets out a sigh figuring this to be true. "Besides…I think one good thing would have come out of all we have been through…"

Blake found herself warming up some and her ears twitch a bit. Honestly with all that was happening it took a bit to bring herself to accept what had transpired…how something that had been in the back of her mind, beating in her heart was coming to fruition. Their hips were pressed together on the couch and for a moment Blake was drowning in her lilac colored eyes.

"Uh…what is going on?" Jaune was the one to venture this. Blake realizes then that everyone is staring at the two.

"Oh, um, what is…what now?" Blake is flustered caught in what was meant to be a private moment…though timing wasn't that ideal.

"Are you two together?" Nora seemed giddy about this somehow. "Oh please tell me you are, cause Ren and I were looking for another-."

"Nora, I thought we talked about this…it is important to be sensitive to one's feelings, or in this case a situation that does not deem our interference." Ren, ever the voice of reason.

"I know but…fine," Nora sulks off but Blake is pretty sure she saw the other female making finger gestures with her eyes.

"Yang…is there something going on?" Ruby's soft spoken voice seems to catch the other female off guard and Blake can sense some hesitancy in Yang.

"I'm…well…we are still trying to figure that out," Yang starts out, "but of late there have been feelings I have been trying to place. For some reason there was never the right time and I wasn't sure if Blake would feel the same way. However the longer I have known her…the more clearer my emotions have been. I honestly can't see myself without her in my life…what her being in my life means. I don't know, it all sounds so…out there but I feel like myself when I am with her…and she understands my faults and my strengths like nobody else."

Blake was tearing up some hearing all of this. How had she been blind to it? No, maybe she wasn't, maybe she too was feeling something but for some reason held back. Maybe it was because of Sun, maybe it was because of Adam…and of course there was Ilia who somehow had developed feelings for her as far as when she was with Adam.

"This is sort of embarrassing saying this out loud…with everyone here, but, honestly with our timing something could happen and it would just get pushed back. Our lives…they aren't simple ones, we are Huntresses and as such we live day by day saving the world, kicking butt and taking names. However…this much I can be certain of, this much can be said…and that is…I want you in my life Blake…more than a teammate, more than as a friend…"

"Ok, so, this is happening then? You two realize what you are getting into right? I get that you two have been through a lot, but, the road that lies ahead is not an easy one. Before any of this ends there will still be suffering along the way, don't know about you but I'm staying single till all said is done."

"Uncle Qrow is that really necessary now?" Ruby says. She is waving her arms about. "I mean, Yang is pouring her heart out…and Blake is about to cry!"

"I'm not crying," Blake says though her voice is choked and she couldn't tell if she was happy or just about to break apart. Adam in the beginning had been sweet and romantic, his words drawing her in, but he had been hiding behind a mask of pain and hurt and honestly trying to keep her in his good graces. Yang of course was different…and if she had to compare how her heart raced…this time it was louder than anytime with Adam.

"I didn't mean anything too much by it…just…I saw first-hand what romance can do to one. Raven and Tai…they were like that in the beginning. I wish you two the best…just…be careful is all I am getting at. I am happy for you Yang…and after what you have been through, you deserve every last drop of happiness."

Blake sniffed some as she looked at Yang. "Am I worth being with though? I seem to have no luck in the romance department and I even ran away after-."

"It was a moment of weakness Blake…there was no way you could have changed the situation. I was in pain for a bit but I learned to move past it…to not hold you too accountable as you had things to figure out. We are better for being apart as we moved past those hurdles. It is no longer one or the other protecting but we are protecting as a whole, on us."

Blake smiles weakly and she presses her head against hers drawing on her strength. Yang was her rock. Around them she can hear the others applauding. Ruby was squealing and Yang was giving a polite smile at the two. Though Blake thought she saw a bit of…judgement, maybe it was just a trick of the eye.

"I want to be with you Yang…I know what I want now. I want to be happy and I can't see me being happy with anyone but you." Blake wanted to do more but just then the door opens.

"Well now…just how long did I keep you guys waiting?" General Ironwood stood at the door along with Weiss's sister Winter. The group grew quiet and Blake let out a yelp of surprise and Yang just stared like Ironwood had ruined the moment.

Authors note: This is just the first chapter so hope you all are enjoying. Expect more of the pairing as I move forward but also the drawing threat to be is coming up plus infiltrators who have a beef with a certain little red. Other ships or pairings are bound to also show so keep an eye out for that. Also forgive me if I got the ship name wrong, not sure if it is Bumblebee or Bumblebly.
