Greetings my readers, it is I! mysterygirl2.0. I still live! Ah what am I saying I have no normal readers I wrote Beyblade the first 5 years on here, got rid of them, wrote one more, and then left that. So if you're still here, hello and welcome to my first attempt at a InuYasha fan-fiction, and as everyone already knows I do not own any characters from this show/manga or the show/manga itself.

Red, a color that has stained the very existence of my being. The color stained my mother, who lost her own life giving me mine, and thus I was abandoned. Sent away for something that I didn't even mean to cause. Red, the color of my mother's last moments.

As I grew the color stained my hands as those around me would torment me, thus sparking anger within. Fight after fight, the red stained my small hands. And I grew to detest the very color.

But then, while I laid sleeping one night, I was visited by an angel in red. At first I was scared, then angry, but calmed down once he spoke. He told me that I needed to regain control over my emotions, and no longer fight with the others. I tried to protest with him, but before I could, he disappeared, gone as soon as the sun began to rise.

I'm now 17 years old, and I live alone in a run-down shack with my grandmother, we get by with the littlest of things. I've given up on school, and just help out with my part time job at the Higarashi temple a little ways off from here. It's all I can do for gram.

My appearance hasn't changed much, I'm 5 ft 2 inches, my hair is jet black like most girls, and my skin is slightly tan. My eyes, however, are a golden brown. It's gotten me in trouble while I was in school for having abnormal eye colors. But they're real, and that's how it's always been. I'm not pretty, actually I'm considered to be very average. My clothing is the same every day, a white long-sleeve shirt covered by a dark blue jumper, my hair is always to my chin, and I wear the same nasty combat boots everyday.

The girl awoke to a dripping sound on her roof. Groggily, she opened her eyes to see that another hole had appeared in the shack. She groaned, that was the fifth one this month. Sitting up she sighed, the shack was only getting worse. Forcing herself off of the hay in which she made her bed, she went to check on her Grandmother.

I hope she gets better soon, everyday she just gets worse and worse.

"Grandma?" looking over into the next room, she saw the woman lying in bed sound asleep. Shaking her head, she decided not to wake her and simply head to the shrine.

"Man, I hope today's work isn't as exhausting as yesterdays," She said out loud, walking up the stairs to the shrine, "I don't know how many more boxes I can carry."

Entering the shrine she was greeted by the usual quiet scene. Puyo was lying outside by the stairs and opened his eyes once he heard her. Purring, he sat up and began rubbing against her legs.

"I missed you too Puyo," She gently nudged his away, fearing for the allergies her gran had.

"Oh hey Mae!" Looking over she saw Sota. He was all ready to head to school, and was smiling.

"Hey Sota, how's school?" Sota shrugged, he was 16 now and in an advanced school.

"Hard, but I'm managing. How's your gran?" She sighed. "Still that bad huh?"

"You have no idea, first she was just coughing and hacking, now she's seeing things. She mistook me for your sister yesterday." Sota raised an eyebrow. As strange as it was, she did look like Kagome, minus her eyes. It was the one thing that Sota found comforting with his sister gone.

"Well, I'm sure she'll get better."

"Yeah you're probably right. Anyway, have a good day at school Sota!" She hurried off to the back of the shrine, wanting to get it over with. Sota looked up at the sky, and began to think, I sure do miss you Kagome, I hope you're doing alright.

Through the well into another time;

Kagome let out a loud yawn, she was beyond tired. Beside being a priestess in training for Kaede, she also had to worry about the bump currently forming inside her. She looked to her right, and saw no one.

"He must still be out with Miroku." She sighed, she had found out shortly after InuYasha left for a exorcism with Miroku that she was pregnant. She sighed and got up, she wasn't far in but she was beginning to show, if only slightly.

"Kagome?" A familiar voice called out, looking towards the door, she saw Sango looking at her, if not a little concerned. "I thought you'd be out with Kaede training. Why are you still sleeping?" Kagome sighed, she hadn't told anyone, only Kaede knew.

"Sorry, I haven't been myself lately. I've been sluggish," She laughed, hoping Sango wouldn't notice the very small bump, "Do you know when InuYasha will be back?"

Sango looked at her, while it was painfully obvious to her what was wrong, she stayed quiet. She understood why Kagome wanted InuYasha back soon, but they were due back for another two days. The job they took was on the other side of the country, and Kirara had stayed behind due to the chance of an attack as unlikely as that may be.

"You know I'm not dense right?" Kagome looked at Sango, "I know what's wrong, I've been that way two times now."

"You're right, I'm just hoping he comes back soon." Kagome stood up, and decided to at least try to get through the day.

Exiting the small house she lived in with her now husband, she looked around. The village was as busy as ever, men working in the fields to get ready for the upcoming harvest, children playing games all around, women helping out where need be, and Kirara standing watch for any attacks. "Yup, everything is as should be." She thought to herself. While it was nice and out a sudden chill ran down her spine, looking around she couldn't place it. It was a familiar feeling, one almost forgotten. Deciding that it must be the pregnancy she disregarded it, since after all Kirara would have sensed it too.

Elsewhere;

Deep inside a dark and heavy fogged forest, a small flower stood. It was a Kuroyuri flower completely surrounded by wilted and shredded flowers. The lone flower slowly began to move, even though the wind could reach this part of the forest. From within the flower a small figure began to emerge, as the flower slowly grew larger. If there were any living creatures around, they would have fled as soon as a small giggle was heard from within. A small child slowly came out of the flower, her eyes completely closed. Her hair was long, black, and had waves that made the ocean seem tame. Her skin was pale, making her like a porcelain doll. The flower she was in, had wrapped itself completely around her, making a dark purple kimono. She slowly opened her eyes, to revel a dark and bleeding red. She began to exit the forest, as the forest around her began to wilt and creak as though the trees were crying. Exiting the forest she looked on, only seeing a field of flowers, only beginning to sprout. She smiled, not knowing exactly why she was happy. All she knew was her name, Kuroyuri.

Near the village;

An ear twitched causing the tall silver hair man to look around. Despite the feeling he could barely remember, nothing showed to be wrong. The man looked over at the village, he was almost home. Looking next to him on this travel back was Miroku, obviously eager to see Sango after a week of traveling and exorcising a house. InuYasha sighed, he too was eager to see Kagome, after all he almost didn't leave after how sick she seemed to be getting. He even commented on how she smelled differently to Kaede, but was reassured that everything was fine.

"So InuYashsa," the monk began to ask, causing him to look at him, "when are you and Kagome going to start a family." Inuyasha's cheeks became intensely red, in which he looked away, flustered.

"How the hell should I know? I don't think about that stuff," He said in his normally brash tone. If I'm completely honest, I do think about it, but I don't think I'd be a good parent. Much less be any help to her.

"Sure you don't," Miroku said giving his small smile, knowing that InuYasha's brashness was masking his true thoughts.

The two grew closer to the village, walking by the small river that it was so close to. InuYasha stopped suddenly, and looked near the old well. The bone eaters well. Without it, Kagome wouldn't be here.

"InuYasha," he turned towards the monk who had noticed his thoughts were elsewhere, "We're almost there, then there'll be plenty of time to remember." He nodded and continued forward.

Through the well;

A frustrated grunt was heard in the shrine. Mae, despite being the only other person to work there, couldn't find Mr. Higarashi. She was normally late, but the one day she was early, he was nowhere to be seen. Sighing, she slumped by large tree. She looked up at it and smiled.

Gran used to tell me stories about this tree. My favorite one was about the strange man with eyes so gold they matched the sun, being shot and pinned to this tree by his love. Then after a long wait, she returned in a new form and was unaware of who he was. But not too long after, they fell in love again.

Standing up, she looked at the tree. The tree was old and had an arrowhead hole in the center of a broken piece of wood. Looking at it she frowned, was the tree that darkly colored before? Inspecting closer, she noticed an odd flower sprouting behind the tree. It was a Kuroyuri, in a very out of place area. No flowers grew around here except the cherry blossoms from the tree. She decided to inspect the flower closer, upon doing so she noticed something rather odd. The normal colors for these were purple, but this flower was red, blood red. Mae looked at it and began to move away, when a vine sprouted from the ground, wrapping itself around her wrist. She let out a loud scream, as more vines emerged and wrapped themselves around her. Struggling with all her might, she was no match for the flower. She felt the vines close around her as she shut her eyes and prayed. She could hear the vines begin to chant her name in a mocking voise. Mae, Mae, MAE

"Mae, wake up!" shouted, causing Mae to shoot right up. She looked around, no vines, no flower, just a tree with looking at her with concern."Mae are you alright?"

"Y-yeah i think so," Mae looked around, confused. What just happened?

"Dad found you out here by the tree convulsing uncontrollably, are you sure you're-" She was interrupted by a handful of rice hitting Mae in the face.

"Begone demon! Leave this girl's body at once!" Mr. Higarashi pelted another thing of rice at Mae, causing her to roll her eyes, she was used to this yes, but it kept getting more and more ridiculous.

"I'm fine really, I should get to work." She began to walk away, before looking at the closed off well near their shrine. Something doesn't feel right, and for some reason, I think it's the well... She shrugged it off, and went to start sweeping the shrine steps.

Through the well, in a forest.

Walking through the forest, a tall man with silver hair stood. He looked around, and despite his keen senses, he could not identify what was going on. This was close to the odd feeling, but not close enough. A small green imp, who struggled to keep up, quickly came near the man.

"Lord Sesshomaru! What is the matter?" The man did not reply,but only continued to look for whatever was causing him all this uneasiness. The man continued on, hoping to find some clue.

The village;

InuYasha arrived at the village, sighing happily. He looked around at the field, and to his disbelief, he could not see Kagome, or smell her for that matter. He when to talk to Miroku, but he was already heading towards Sango and their three children. Not wanting to ruin a happy moment, he wandered towards the smell that somewhat reminded him of Kagome. And to his luck, there she was sitting on their porch and looking towards the children. Looking at her he noticed that she had appeared to gain a little weight. He thought carefully, but couldn't figure out why that would be. Regardless he went over and sat by her. She strangely didn't notice, she was focusing on something, enough to not notice him until he put a hand on hers.

"AH!" She jumped up, and looked at InuYasha. She had slapped him, quiet hard actually. He looked at her dazed from the slap, which he quickly took to meaning that her startled her. "I'm so sorry!"

"It's nothing, at least you didn't say sit," she laughed, that was true for him.

"Welcome home?" he smirked and embraced her, he was happy to be home.
