Harry Potter and Hermione Granger had gotten detention... again. It all happened in potion class, as usual Harry, had made a rather sassy comment to Professor Snape and… the man just lost it. Naturally Hermione, who was feeling oddly giddy at that moment, couldn't contain her laughter, which only made the Professor even more furious with them, and that lead to Hermione laughing him straight in his face.
That was why they now found themselves in the forbidden forest, at almost midnight, looking for a plant, which the professor had instructed them to go looking for.
"I think he made the plant up." Harry broke the silence.
"Of course he did. I have never heard of it before, meaning it doesn't exist." Hermione was feeling rather displeased at the moment. She hated the forbidden forest and couldn't understand how the bloody hell they would allow students get detention, which involved this… rather-creepy-freaking-me-out-place. And at this time!
"Harry, here is too silent." She looked around anxiously, she couldn't see too far with the light they had with them, but it was like that for a reason, they wouldn't want to attract undesired attention from…. who know's what is hiding here.
"Hermione I think we should go back. The plant doesn't exist and I'm feeling rather cold." He rubbed his arms, it wasn't his fault. It was rather chilly.
"Harry…" She looked at him with a hopeless look on her face, which made him feel a little bit offended.
"What?" She shaked her head at him. "You're a wizard! Just cast a heat charm would you?"
"Oh…" Hermione casted the charm for him, and he was suddenly feeling like, a blanket was being wrapped around him. He shuddered before mumbling a thank you.
They stopped up and took a look at their surroundings. This time Hermione broke the silence that was filling the air around them.
"Harry, do you remember the way back?" Harry whipped his head around so fast, he was surprised his head still was on it's place.
"What? What do you mean? I thought you were keeping track on that."
"Brightest Witch of Her Age and suddenly everybody expect everything out of you. Harry James Potter we are lost in the forbidden forest!" she started pacing in front of him with her hands placed on her hips.
Harry ran his hand through his hair, ughhhh Bloody just what they needed.
"Hermione you couldn't possible know a spell that could show us a way back to the castle?"
"Don't you think I would have thought of that? No I don't, and I just can't Accio the castle to me. That's impossible."
"Okay, Okay, no Panic, Just don't Panic!" He shouted knowing it would have the opposite effect, but he had to try.
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Okay that didn't go too well and he just stayed silent and led her think to whole thing through.
Hermione tried, she really did. She grabbed his arm and went that small way she remembered back, but she couldn't. Honestly they had taken so many turns it wasn't surprising at all, they were lost.
"Maybe they are looking for us, I mean come on, Hermione. We have been here for like, hours." Harry certainly hoped they were.
She thinked about it for a moment before nodding, seemed logical enough."You're right, they certainly should be if not." She raised her wand toward the sky and kept firing off red lights. She continued to do that for at least 10 minutes before her arm started to hurt and she lowered it.
"They should find us now." Both of them was too tired to function anymore and silently laid down on the cold ground.
Hermione cast a warming charm around herself before feeling herself doze off and Harry soon followed her. They both slept soundly, not aware of what there had been silently watching them the whole night.
