Tim relished these moments: a hard thunderstorm, a good book and his favorite speedster cuddled up next to him. It was a rare moment, a moment where Tim had some time off to just do spend time with Bart without it being a Titan's meeting or in the middle of combat. Tim massaged his fingers through Bart's auburn locks, releasing a light scent of lemon from Bart's shampoo. His body heat was more than enough to keep him warm and comfortable.

Bart had laid his head onto Tim's chest, taking in Tim's natural scent. He felt every breath taken in and every thump of his heartbeat. "Whatcha reading, babe?"

"The Hunger Games," Tim replied without looking up from his book.

"I read that last week."

"I know you did, you recommended it."

"Oh right. Did you get to the part where Katniss finds Peeta all covered in-"

"No, Bart, not yet, no spoilers please." Tim interupted.

"Oh. Sorry."

Bart watched Tim read the book. He watched as Tim's eyes stared intensely at the paragraphs. His eyeslashes flicking slightly as he scanned each word, his lips slightly parted and perfect eyebrows mirroring each expression he did. Man, was he pretty. "What are you staring at?" Tim asked, eyes not breaking from the book.

"You," bart replied casually, removing a lock of hair from in front of Tim's forehead.

Tim blushed and closed the book, setting it gently aside on the drawer next to him. He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Bart's soft lips. Bart looked up at him and gave him a goofy smile. Tim was engulfed in Bart's eyes. His soft, rich gold eyes, the color of pure honey. Though it was dark, and the only light source was from the lamp next to them, his eyes were glimmering. Bart began unbuttoning Tim's satin pajama top but Tim shook his head. "Later Bart," Tim said giving him a tired smile. Bart pouted, "You tease." Bart layed back down next to the robin. "But it's only, like, eleven! Don't you have insomnia? Sex is great for that ya know!" Tim rolled his eyes. Bart continued to explain the great after-effects of them sleeping together but then froze as he felt the walls slightly shake and the loud crackle of thundering breaking open the skies. Bart's eyes widened in fear and he jumped (literally) into Tim's unoccupied arms as more thunder forced itself into Tim's bedroom.

"Are you scared Bart?"

Bart nodded quickly tightening the grasp he had on Tim.

"Alrighty then maybe we should do it. So you won't, you know, be scared-" Tim was cut off as Bart planted kisses all over Tim's lips. "Yay! Okay, okay, okay, be serious Bart. Serious and sensual."

Tim chuckled.

And Tim was right. He wasn't scared.
