Charlie goes to talk to Liam again. I can't remember if they ever told us Liam's daughter's name, or not.

It's Your Fault

He remembered a time that his brother Liam wasn't taking drugs when they started the band Drive Shaft. He remembered also the first time that his brother took drugs and he had begged him not to, but of course Liam didn't listen to him. It was one of the groupies that got Liam hooked on drugs. He watched as his brother sink more and more into the drugs. He saw what it was doing to his brother and told him to stop, but still Liam wouldn't listen to him.

He watched as Liam meet people and take drugs. He remembered once how he was in the changing room with two women. He couldn't stay in the same room as his brother, so he left and walked out of the room to the hallway. He stayed there and wondered why it had to be this way. Why did Liam have to take drugs? Why did drugs have such a pull on him? Liam told him long ago when they were teenagers when he saw someone on drugs that he would never take them. Charlie nodded and told him that he wouldn't either. Just because a fan pressured him into taking drugs he couldn't stop.

He remembered taking drugs for the very first time and thought this was why Liam took them. He tried to stop, but the withdraw was too much and so he continued with the drugs and the partying. It would be years that Liam would stop because of his daughter. He still couldn't believe that Liam was a father. He was glad that he stopped taking drugs to provide for his daughter, but why did he have to start in the first place.

He pulled up to the house. He had been there before when he talked to Liam before. He walked inside when Liam invited him inside.

"What's up Charlie?"

"I understand why you stopped taking drugs, Liam. I want to know why you started taking them in the first place?"

"Peer Pressure. Because one of our fans told me how good it would make me feel. Once I started talking them I couldn't stop until my daughter came into the world. I knew I had to stop because of her."

"We told each other that we would never take drugs."

"Things change, Charlie"

"I need some money, Liam."

"No. I'm not feeding your drug habit."

"You were a druggie before I was. I saw you do drugs and that's when it started. Why won't you help me?"

"Charlie, you need to stop. I won't give you any more money. You just waste it."

"Please Liam."

"No."

He got mad and turned away to leave, but stopped before he could close the door.

"It's your fault that I'm a drug addict. If you never started taking drugs I would have never done it. I hope your happy, Liam."

He slammed the door and walked towards the car. He unlocked the door and started it up. He looked at his brother's house one last time and drove away.

The End
