CHAPTIRE 01
It was day just like any other. The sun was just beginning to set and the wind was blowing through his luxurious golden hair. He gave a shudder as an early winter chill made its way swiftly up his spine. He stood there waiting, his hands holding a perfectly wrapped box. To passers by it was simply a box, but to him it was so much more.
"Hello Watanuki-kun," he exclaimed to a boy running past him.
"Oh, hello Fai-san," said the boy as he ran past. He was a few years below Fai. "Himiwari-chan," the boy called after his female counterpart.
A few minutes past when, "Hey." Fai looked up at the tall dark silhouette, the setting sun shining in his eyes.
He considered briefly which of his many nicknames to use on this particular day. "Happy Birthday Kuro-woof-woof."
"You Bastard! I've told you not to call me that." Said the boy through gritted teeth. He swiftly moved his hand towards Fai's head and for one brief moment Fai thought that he was going to be hit, until the hand lightly placed itself upon Fai's head and ruffled his hair.
Fai smiled. He knew that he could not have any physical contact with Kurogane yet, but this was enough for him. "Here's your present" Fai held out the luxuriously wrapped parcel to Kurogane.
"Sweet" he replied with a smile. He instantly ripped open the present.
Fai knew that someone like his Kuro couldn't appreciate something as delicate as the wrapping paper upon the parcel but rather what was under the inconvenience of the paper.
Fai thought back to the day he had met Kuro...
