Olette skipped down the street, humming to herself. School had just let out and she was on her way home. She loved right after school, it always made her happy. She'd never admit it to anybody else, be she loved walking partially home with a certain male.
"You're happy today, y'know?"
She turned to face him and smiled. "Hmhm!" she smiled. "And you?"
"Eh, it was okay, y'know."
She would've pushed further, but she decided against it. She felt like saying that for the past two weeks, she'd only been happy because she could walk home feeling safe. It was all because of Raijin though, that must have been it.
They walked in silence and Olette eventually got up enough courage to speak again. "So, how's Fujin and Seifer doing?"
He thought about this for a moment. Just last week, Seifer got up enough courage to ask her out. "Doing good, y'know?"
"Yea… Hayner is kinda bummed though. I think he really had feelings for her."
Rai looked over at the brunette. This was news to him. He looked deep in thought.
"Ya know, I decided something the other day. It'd be cool to have a boyfriend. And not one of the guys I hang out with. Someone different," Olette said with a smile up at Raijin.
Oblivious to the subtle hint, he nodded and smiled at her. "You'll find someone great, y'know?"
She laughed. "I just hope when I get up enough courage he says yes."
Rai reddened a little. "Someone would be awfully dumb to turn you down, y'know."
Olette blushed right back as she beamed. "Then what would you say if the one I want is you?"
Raijin turned to her and smiled.
